The Taliban has claimed responsibility for a car bomb blast in Kabul on Friday, that wounded four US service members and caused a number of other casualties.
The number of casualties is not yet confirmed, an Afghan security official said as many as nine people were killed and six civilians injured. Zabihullah Mujahid, the Taliban’s spokesman, said they targeted a convoy of foreign forces, killing at least 10.
On Thursday, a suicide bomber blew himself up near the entrance of a military training facility in Kabul, killing at least six and injuring six more. ISIS claimed responsibility for Thursday’s attack, but it has not been verified.
This attack on US forces comes after Taliban’s negotiator, Mohammed Sohail Shaheen, said he expects the US to announce an Afghan pull out date during their next round of talks.
