In 2009, President Barack Obama lifted an 18-year ban on media access to the flag-covered caskets arriving at Dover Air Force Base, but this decision runs directly counter to that promise. Caskets have been subject to cameras with the consent of the families of the dead, but since the bodies are not currently identifiable, permission cannot be individually granted and the Pentagon has taken the opportunity to conceal the single deadliest incident for Americans since the start of the war.
Instituted by George H. W. Bush and kept in place by Bill Clinton and George W. Bush, the ban was justified on the grounds that it protected the families of fallen soldiers. But many have criticized it as an unconstitutional attack on freedom of the press and as an attempt to disguise the human cost of the war from public opinion.
After the invasion of Iraq, the Bush administration added to the media whitewash of the human costs of the war by flying in severely wounded soldiers under the cover of night in order to avoid press coverage.
Limits on the right of journalists to cover the killed and wounded are not permitted under the Constitution and this is only the latest in consistent restrictions attempting to control the public’s view of this costly Afghan war.
The Archons can't allow the sheeple see what real war is – what the waste of a human being looks like. God forbid the American people should be disturbed by the sight of caskets coming off airplanes from those places far, far away – out of sight, you know. They might actually start to realize that war only has one product – someone has to die – and sometimes the ones who die are ours – and it isn't pretty and can't be hidden from the families they left behind. The military families know…they know. How much longer before they quit providing the Empire with bodies?
It might be easier to stomach if they were dying for a just cause.
"" It might be easier to stomach if they were dying for a just cause. ""
They are dying in support of Operation Just Because – is that close enough?
That tells you how badly the Pentagon wants to keep Afghan combat deaths quiet. And should motivate AntiWar to regularly report all available combat deaths as they happen in Afghanistan including civilian and combat casualties of all nationalities. All US combat casualties are reported following notification of kin usually within two days of the soldiers death at the Department of Defense web site under "news releases" or "casualty reports". Included is the soldiers name, the location of his death, usually by province, and the circumstance of death, including IED, small arms fire, mortar round, RPG, except Helmand province where circumstance of death is not reported.
As you follow these almost daily combat death reports from the Pentagon it becomes clear that the United States is being defeated militarily by the Taliban in Afghanistan. That is the important reality not being reported by anyone.
Wait- a Chinook full of SEALS and we don't know who they were? The bodies were all recovered and none of them were identifiable, no dog tags, no personal effects, no nothing?
These guys were reportedly from SEAL Team 6- probably the most talked-about SEAL Team EVER- and we have no idea who they are. Right.
Something stinks about this whole story. It stinks bad.
Did Pentagon called Oval office and announced E.K.I.A after Chopper was brought down as these killed marines did announce on May,02-2011.after killing Dead OBL.
I could be wrong, but I can't recall a clear indication that Elvis-as-whacked-by-Six himself had been visually 'identifiable;' I can only recall agreement from a few Congress-creatures that photos were indeed gruesome -not statements that the photos were likely him. Now, for some reason, the New Rapid DNA test doesn't come to the rescue of families of The 22 o' Six. Being immediately impressed that a group as presumably large and amorpous as 'The Taliban' 'claims responsibility' wouldn't seem wise, either -my dog could do that for you –if you understand YappieSpeak. …any independent confirmation that a Chinook went down AND that an explosion occured prior AND that a missile hit it prior AND …?
That tells it all.The Neavy Seals that took part in the False Flag OBL operation. How in the world would Pentagon let these guys live a full natural life without someday one or more of them coming out of the dark and explaining it all as exactly what happened on May,02 2011.Sorry folks banning it has nothing to do but to be exposed as those were the Team 6 who carried out the job and eventually they are now paid for it.Erase all evidence that may endanger the secret to be leaked out.
I think Dr. Khan is right. Maybe. If you can't trust Special Forces to keep their mouths shut, why are they there? But maybe they couldn't trust them.
You sir, are correct in your assessment of the situation.
Easy John…the bodies were all burned so individual bodies are unidentifiable – they know the names of everyone who was on the chopper – just can't put a name to a body yet. It's a "letter of the law" kind of thing – they can't give permission to see the casket until they can put a name to the body inside.
Now, that said, there are many questions that haven't been answered. Why would they send a Tier 1 team of elites to perform backup? Kind of a misuse of resources. And why would they put them on a Chinook? These guys have "special" resources all their own – those special choppers that go fast and make little noise and don't show up on radar – that kind of special. And why was there a dog and handler? You don't normally send a dog team to perform a backup/rescue mission. But for me, it all comes back to why the SEALS?
But, I really don't expect we'll hear the real reasons anytime soon.
I'm wondering, too, why they were on a Chinook- a grand helicopter, but not exactly a fast mover. I'm also wondering why, if the battle was not over- and it obviously wasn't- why the team was being lifted out of a hot LZ? The dog handler issue troubles me as well.
Why not use regular line infantry- or other Rangers- for the reinforcements? Why use the top-shelf troops for regular combat, and in a flying coffin no less?
Lots of irregularities about this whole incident. Either this is 'the perfect storm' of coincidences, or somebody in the chain of command is a total idiot- any way you slice it, it just doesn't add up, not even to 'the fog of war'.
John_Muhammed is correct. As usual the whole thing stinks. There's something rotten in Denmark, as the saying goes.
These are adults who chose that career and succumbed to the words of corrupt and dirty politicians. dont mourn for them!
It can take a lifetime or two to figure that out if you're a trusting type. I wouldn't blame the ones who died before they had the chance to put that insight into practice.
This is what is known as damage control, Pentagon style.
this way obummer will not have to attend.
Hm— something's awfully fishy here – a few hours ago the Pentagon wouldn't allow any coverage of the remains as the bodies were 'unidentified'… but yet here we see on Yahoo! News the names and bios of the dead- with photos! << http://news.yahoo.com/portraits-navy-seals-killed… >>
Either somebody is playing fast and loose with the rules, or somebody has decided to milk this for publicity- or both. Funny how within a couple of hours we can positively identify a body as being that of Osama bin Laden, yet we can't identify our own dead in three days?
I'm telling you, this stinks and it's not going to be pretty when the truth starts coming out.
You're making a mountain out of a molehill. The bodies were burned beyond recognition – everything torched – even dogtags melted down to slag. They knew who was on the chopper but are unable to quickly put a name to a piece of charred meat. There are enough inconsistencies about this episode but this isn't one of them. Think about it a sec…
I have spent a lot of time in helicopters, blackhawks, chinooks, even hueys. I can't imagine what took down a chithook that far up. I got knocked out of the air in a blackhawk, now a hawk can be taken out with an RPG but a chithook? It had to be a SAM or a bomb on board, no RPG or small arms could have done it. They are a flying tank.
As for what was left?? Probably not much.
Was this a false flag?? Personally I think OBL was a deader a decade ago. I kicked in a lot of doors back in the day (7th SFG). There is NO WAY that we would have just shot him. He would have been the biggest capture ever. Something smells.
