The Israeli military has ramped up its forced evacuation orders in Gaza and strikes on areas it ordered evacuated, using the practice across the Strip on Tuesday and Wednesday as it continues its constant violations of the US-backed ceasefire deal.
Abdallah Abu Gharqoud, a resident of the Bureij refugee camp, told The Associated Press on Tuesday that a neighbor had received a call that their entire block would be bombed.
“We gathered our belongings, the children, and went downstairs. We had barely reached the beginning of the street when something like a tornado happened, something unnatural, and the entire block was demolished,” he said.
The AP also reported that Palestinians received similar warnings on Tuesday in Gaza City and in Khan Younis, southern Gaza. The pattern continued on Wednesday as photos and videos from Gaza show evacuated buildings being bombed in Khan Younis and in the al-Shati refugee camp west of Gaza City.
Other Israeli attacks hit across Gaza, with at least two people, including a 10-year-old child, being killed on Tuesday. The AP reported that a 10-year-old boy was shot by Israeli forces east of Khan Younis, and a 69-year-old man was also killed by Israeli fire to the south of the city.
On Wednesday, the Palestinian news agency WAFA reported multiple injuries as a result of Israeli gunfire and drone attacks in Gaza City and areas of northern Gaza.
Gaza’s Health Ministry said in its daily update that since the so-called ceasefire deal was signed in October 2025, the IDF has killed at least 1,358 Palestinians and wounded 4,541. The US has continued to back Israel’s attacks despite announcing that Hamas had agreed to a deal that would see the group give up its weapons, a proposal that Israel has rejected.
