Israeli attacks in Gaza on Wednesday killed at least one Palestinian and injured several others as the IDF continues its constant violations of the October 2025 ceasefire deal, despite President Trump and the so-called “Board of Peace” announcing that Hamas agreed to a disarmament deal.
Al Jazeera reported that an Israeli airstrike targeted a three-wheeled vehicle in Beit Lahia, northern Gaza, and killed one Palestinian. Several others were wounded in the attack, which the IDF claimed, without providing evidence, targeted a “Hamas commander.”
The attack was reported as the first Israeli airstrike in Gaza in a week, though the IDF continued daily attacks involving gunfire, artillery shelling, and tank fire, including one attack over the weekend that hit a thirteen-year-old girl, who died of her wounds on Monday.
The Anadolu Agency reported that another attack on Wednesday involved an Israeli drone dropping a grenade on Palestinians in southern Gaza, and that an elderly man and a child were wounded in the attack. The report described the injuries as “moderate,” though footage from the Nasser Hospital shows an 11-year-old boy who appears to be severely wounded. Two Palestinians were also wounded by Israeli fire in central Gaza, east of the Buereij refugee camp.
Gaza’s Health Ministry said in its daily update, released about midday Gaza time, that Israeli attacks wounded at least two Palestinians over the previous 24-hour period and that one body was recovered, bringing the death toll since the so-called ceasefire deal was signed to 1,259.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has publicly rejected the US-backed Hamas disarmament plan, which would involve the group handing its weapons to a Palestinian body that is supposed to be established under the deal to govern Gaza.
Trump has stayed quiet about Netanyahu’s rejection of the plan he announced, and a US official speaking to Axios reporter Barak Ravid said the administration wasn’t concerned since Israel did reduce attacks in Gaza, though they clearly haven’t stopped.
