An Israeli strike in central Gaza on Monday killed at least one Palestinian as the IDF continues daily attacks in the Strip in violation of the US-backed ceasefire deal.
The Palestinian news agency WAFA reported that a man was killed and another was injured when an Israeli airstrike targeted a bicycle in the Bureij refugee camp in central Gaza. Later in the day, another Israeli attack targeted the same area, and a child was reported to be injured.

WAFA also reported that Israeli forces set fire to dozens of homes in Jabalia, northern Gaza. “Local sources told WAFA that Israeli forces set fire to dozens of homes and properties east of Jabalia camp, causing flames and thick smoke to rise, blanketing the skies over the northeastern areas of the Strip,” the report said.
Gaza’s Health Ministry said in its daily update, which it releases about midday Gaza time, that it recorded the Israeli killing of two Palestinians and the injury of 41 over the previous 24-hour period. The ministry said that since the so-called ceasefire deal was signed in October 2025, the IDF has killed at least 932 Palestinians and injured 2,859.
“A number of victims are still under the rubble and in the streets, as ambulance and civil defense crews have been unable to reach them so far,” the ministry wrote on Telegram.
Besides the constant attacks, Israel has also violated the deal by expanding its control of Gaza from 53% of the territory to 60% as it has moved the “yellow line” further west. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said last week that he ordered the IDF to expand its occupation to 70% of the Palestinian territory.
