Two Palestinians Killed, Several Children Wounded, by Israeli Attacks in Gaza

Nearly 700 Palestinians have been killed in Gaza since the so-called ceasefire deal was signed in early October

At least two Palestinians were killed, and several more were wounded by Israeli strikes in Gaza on Wednesday, the Quds News Network has reported, as Israeli attacks continue across the Strip amid the US-Israeli war against Iran.

The report said that the two Palestinians were killed by an Israeli attack that targeted a gathering of civilians near displacement camps in central Gaza. Photos show flames and smoke rising from a tent camp in Deir el-Balah, central Gaza, though it’s unclear if it was the same attack that killed two people. According to Reuters, residents were told to evacuate before the strike.

Earlier in the day, several Palestinians, including children, were wounded when Israeli warships shelled the al-Mawasi tent camp in southern Gaza near Khan Younis. Photos from the al-Mawasi field hospital show at least three children being treated for what appear to be severe injuries.

Gaza’s Health Ministry said in its daily update on Wednesday that since the so-called ceasefire deal was signed in early October, the IDF has killed at least 689 Palestinians and wounded 1,860. The ministry said that it recorded the Israeli killing of two Palestinians and the wounding of 11 over the previous 24-hour period.

“A number of victims are still under the rubble and in the streets, as ambulance and civil defense crews have been unable to reach them so far,” the ministry wrote on Telegram.

Back in January, the Trump administration declared that the “second phase” of the Gaza ceasefire had begun, but it did nothing to slow Israeli attacks, which occur daily. President Trump’s so-called “Board of Peace” has also done nothing to stop the constant Israeli violations, and he launched a war with Iran less than two weeks after convening his first meeting of the body.
