Five-Year-Old Reported Killed by Israeli Forces in Gaza as IDF Attacks Continue Across the Strip

Gaza's Health Ministry said Thursday that 651 Palestinians have been killed since the ceasefire deal was signed

Israeli forces killed a five-year-old boy in Gaza on Thursday, the Palestinian news agency WAFA reported, as IDF attacks have continued across the Strip amid the US-Israeli war against Iran.

Sources told WAFA that the boy, identified as Samih Shehab Samih Marou, was killed by Israeli fire in Beit Lahia, northern Gaza.

On Wednesday night, Israeli strikes hit a tent camp west of Gaza City, according to Turkey’s Anadolu Agency. The report said that Palestinians in the area were told to evacuate before a strike hit a government building, and fire spread and destroyed multiple tents, leaving dozens of families without shelters.

Gaza’s Civil Defense agency said that it worked to extinguish the flames, and photos show families returning to the camp to inspect the damage. No casualties have been reported in the attack.

Gaza’s Health Ministry said on Thursday that at least one Palestinian was killed and nine were wounded over the previous 24-hour period. It said that since the US-backed ceasefire deal was signed in early October, the IDF has killed 651 Palestinians in Gaza and wounded 1,741, a total of more than 2,500 casualties.

Earlier this week, Reuters reported that talks on implementing President Trump’s plan for Gaza have been put on hold amid the US-Israeli war on Iran. Israeli troops continue to occupy more than 50% of Gaza and launch daily attacks in violation of the ceasefire deal.
