A source on Capitol Hill has told Antiwar.com that the president is expected to announce plans to launch a war with the country when he addresses the nation tonight at 9 pm EST.
“We need masses calling Congress and the White House against this apparently imminent war against Venezuela,” Scott Horton, the Editorial Director of Antiwar.com, wrote on X.
On Tuesday, Trump declared he was enforcing a “total and complete” blockade on Venezuela, signaling airstrikes on Venezuelan territory may be his next step. The US has built up a large force in the Caribbean and continues bombing alleged drug boats in the region.
