Israeli Strikes on Gaza Kill 68 Palestinians Over Three Days

Israel continues to maintain a total blockade on aid and all other goods

Israeli attacks on Gaza have killed at least 68 Palestinians and wounded 290 over the past three days, according to daily death toll updates released by Gaza’s Health Ministry.

In that same time period, at least two bodies of Palestinians killed by previous attacks were recovered from the rubble. “There are still a number of victims under the rubble and on the streets, and ambulance and civil defense crews cannot reach them,” the Health Ministry said in its update on Sunday.

Israeli attacks on Sunday included overnight strikes on tent camps in southern Gaza. According to the Palestinian news agency WAFA, the attacks on tents in Khan Younis killed at least 10 Palestinians, including four children.

WAFA also reported Israeli strikes in Gaza City and said one attack killed a father and his daughter. Israeli shelling in Jabalia, northern Gaza, killed a child, and an Israeli drone strike hit central Gaza’s Deir el-Balah, killing six people.

The latest violence in Gaza comes 70 days into the total Israeli blockade, which has prevented the entry of food, fuel, and all other goods, pushing Gaza’s civilian population into starvation. The blockade has caused the closure of community kitchens, bakeries, and other aid operations.

The Health Ministry said that since Israel resumed its genocidal war on March 18, at least 2,720 Palestinians have been killed, and 7,513 were injured. The numbers account for dead and wounded Palestinians brought to hospitals and morgues.

Since October 7, 2023, the ministry’s death toll has reached 52,829, and the number of wounded has climbed to 119,554, figures that don’t account for thousands missing and presumed dead under the rubble or indirect deaths caused by the Israeli siege.
