Gaza’s Health Ministry said Monday that Israeli attacks killed 38 Palestinians and injured 118 over the previous 24-hour period as US-backed Israeli strikes pounded targets across the Strip amid a total Israeli blockade.
The Health Ministry said another body was recovered from the rubble over the same period. The ministry’s figures only account for dead and wounded Palestinians brought to hospitals.
“A number of victims remain under the rubble and on the roads, unable to be reached by ambulances and civil defense crews,” the ministry wrote on Telegram.

Israeli attacks on Monday included strikes on the southern city of Khan Younis, which killed at least six people. According to the Palestinian news agency WAFA, six civilians were killed by the Israeli bombing of a house in the Tuffah neighborhood of Gaza City.
The Health Ministry said that since Israel fully restarted its genocidal war on March 18, at least 1,613 Palestinians have been killed, and 4,233 have been wounded. The assault has taken a huge toll on children, with more than 500 among those killed.
The ministry also said that its recorded death toll since October 2023 has reached 50,983, and the number of wounded has climbed to 116,274. Gaza’s Government Media Office has said that including Palestinians who are missing and presumed dead under the rubble brings the death toll to about 62,000. Other estimates that account for indirect deaths caused by the US-backed Israel siege put the death toll in the hundreds of thousands.
