US airstrikes on a ceramic factory in Yemen’s Sanaa province have killed at least six people, Yemen’s SABA news agency has reported, citing the Yemeni Health Ministry.
SABA initially reported that three airstrikes hit the factory on Sunday night. Dr. Anis al-Asbahi, spokesman for the Yemeni Health Ministry, wrote on X early Monday morning Yemen time that at least six people were killed and 30 were wounded.
According to a Google translation of Asbahi’s post, which was written in Arabic, he said Yemen’s Health Ministry “condemns and denounces in the strongest terms the blatant American aggression against our country, Yemen, and its targeting with direct bombing of civilian objects and civilians.”
Asbahi said most of the victims of the strike were “civilians working in the factory, the houses and the farm next to it. Among the wounded were five children and a woman.”
Asbahi continued, “This crime is added to the criminal record of the American-Zionist enemy. It is a full-fledged war crime and a flagrant violation of all international laws and conventions.”
Two US airstrikes were also reported in the al-Jawf province on Sunday night. Since March 15, US airstrikes have pounded Houthi-controlled Yemen, which is where 80% of Yemenis live, on a daily basis.
The US airstrikes have failed to deter the Houthis, who have been firing missiles at Israel, shooting down US drones, and launching attacks on US warships. The US military has offered virtually no details about the Houthi attacks on US naval assets or about its airstrikes in Yemen.
Bomb a ceramics factory, that will make them surrender for sure! /s
So they don't even have any military targets to to bomb, they have to attack the civilian airport, food warehouses, and relief offices. I suppose this is just more of the idiot theory that "If we make them miserable enough they'll throw out their government and accept any lackey the US sends them to stop the suffering." Never mind that it has never worked on any community larger than a minor principality in all of history, it's how they would respond to a threat by a bigger bully and they're unable to imagine that others would react differently.
On that note – it's a ceramics factory. Why bomb the building when you could just bomb an empty field nearby & everything inside the factory would just shatter ?
Ain't these military leaders never followed a rambunctious toddler through the vase section of a Crate & Barrel store ?
lol
"If we make them miserable enough they'll throw out their government and accept any lackey the US sends them to stop the suffering."
It is also called terrorism, a crime.
A secret side war for the united states of Israel…!
Both are necromongers.
usa: They are not war crimes because we're not war so there! https://uploads.disquscdn.com/images/bd0c2fe6d57bbfa1f38bdd227792659eeaa849da96d73827df6cc4d25140539b.png
;-}… … …!… …
And the Left management the same as the Right management.
2 faces on 1 head
Both necromongers
Thank you. Never let us forget the seeds of peace, love, no wars that were sown in the Sixties and early Seventies. Once again it is all trying to be eradicated through bobms, propagadna and hate. Yet the true seeds of a loving humanity are still trying to sprout and grower strogner among all the weeds of insanity.
Once more:
"It's crazy. You can solve problems over the telephone. Instead, they start dropping bombs. I see, recently, they're dropping bombs all over Yemen. You don't have to do that. You can talk in such a way where they respect you and they listen to you," Trump said in a May 2024 interview with podcaster Tim Pool.
Trump will talk and do whatever he thinks is more popular and more advantageous for him at a given time.
Based on his daily zigs and zags,Trump's mind seems to be a transactional cacophony of noises and grunts, all vying for attention. What comes out is labeled policy…
I swear Trump is the only person on Earth who'd decline the use of a time machine to jump back & correct past mistakes.
AND he's a postmodern version of those Popes of antiquity, from back when the Pontiff was considered infallible in word & deed – everything from them was automatically correct / true.
Don Genocide seems those – certain he's always been right and never in contradiction to himself.
A wind socket…………
This is NOT "peace through strength"! It is called "war from peace".
Like JFK said – I rephrase – that peace via bombs, wars and dictatorship is no real peace.
Wise words CC!
JFK:
“What kind of peace do I mean? What kind of peace do we seek? Not a Pax Americana enforced on the world by American weapons of war. Not the peace of the grave or the security of the slave. I am talking about genuine peace, the kind of peace that makes life on earth worth living, the kind that enables men and nations to grow and to hope and to build a better life for their children–not merely peace for Americans but peace for all men and women–not merely peace in our time but peace for all time.”
Thank you for that.
He was extraordinary. My undergraduate years were spent at a New England college. We had a large commons room on the ground floor of one of the dorms with a single TV. When Kennedy gave a news conference, the place was packed with enough bodies to make the Fire Marshall nervous. The thing is, this was a school mostly populated by the sons of very wealthy republicans. Didn't matter.
There was quality in those days, quality that is almost entirely absent today.
At least it wasn't an aspirin factory this time.
Who knows ? Maybe it was a "dual use" ceramics plant, manufacturing peaceful plates but also making peaceful urbs or, worse, vases.
Is it me or are we being saturated with articles about which there are no opportunities for comment? I don't recall seeing this site being used to stuff the page with so many press and magazine articles.
Is it vacation time for regular contributors?
It is unfortunate there isn't a general-topics Disqus page for the site for just that purpose; there have been a couple very pertinent external articles worthy of discussion !
Some you just hoped you'd be able to comment on. Gotta vent or you just explode.
Entirely !!
Necromonger R US attacks again.
“This crime is added to the criminal record of the American-Zionist enemy. It is a full-fledged war crime and a flagrant violation of all international laws and conventions.”
U.S. should ship a free copy of Ella Fitzgerald’s song: Cry Me a River.
