Israel Kills 26 More Palestinians in Gaza

Israel carried out a massive attack on the Bureij refugee camp in central Gaza

Gaza’s Health Ministry said Tuesday that Israeli forces killed 26 Palestinians in Gaza in the previous 24-hour period and injured 84, bringing its death toll since October 7 to 41,252 and the number of wounded to 95,497.

“The Israeli occupation committed three massacres against families in the Gaza Strip, resulting in 26 martyrs and 84 injuries arriving at hospitals during the past 24 hours,” the ministry wrote on Telegram.

“There are still a number of victims under the rubble and on the streets, and ambulance and civil defense crews cannot reach them,” the ministry added. The numbers do not account for the Palestinians who are missing and presumed dead under the rubble, which was previously estimated to be around 10,000.

The ministry included a link in the post where Palestinians in Gaza could report missing family members. “We call on the families of martyrs and missing persons from the war on Gaza to complete their data by registering via the attached link,” the ministry said.

Strikes on Tuesday included a major attack on the Bureij refugee camp in Gaza, which killed at least eight Palestinians, but many more are under the rubble. “The occupation used destructive American-made bombs in its bombing of the residential block,” Gaza’s Civil Defense said.

According to Tareq Abu Azzoum, an Al Jazeera reporter in Gaza, the majority of the eight bodies that have been recovered from the strike in Bureij were children. “As one of the Civil Defense members confirmed, the scale of destruction there is beyond recognition. They are saying that there are at least 80 Palestinians beneath the rubble and the remnants of these destroyed buildings,” Azzoum reported.

A day earlier, Gaza’s Health Ministry released the names of 34,344 Palestinians who have been killed by Israeli forces, including 11,355 children. Among the children were 710 infants who did not make it to their first birthday.
