The Biden administration on Wednesday announced a new $175 million weapons package for Ukraine as President Biden pleaded with Congress to authorize more spending on the proxy war.
“This cannot wait,” Biden said in a televised statement. “Congress needs to pass supplemental funding for Ukraine before they break for the holiday recess. Simple as that. Frankly, I think it’s stunning that we’ve gotten to this point in the first place. Republicans in Congress are willing to give Putin the greatest gift he can hope for and abandon our global leadership.”
The president claimed that if the US doesn’t support Ukraine, Russia could attack a NATO ally. “Then we’ll have something that we don’t seek and that we don’t have today — American troops fighting Russian troops,” he said.
Later in the day, the Senate voted on a massive $111 billion bill that included Ukraine funding, but the measure failed as Republicans are looking for more concessions on border issues. “Republicans think they can get everything they want without any bipartisan compromise,” Biden said.
Earlier this week, the White House told Congress it would run out of money to fund the proxy war if Congress didn’t authorize more spending. The new $175 million weapons package used Presidential Drawdown Authority funds that became available thanks to a Pentagon “accounting error” that overvalued previous weapons shipments to Ukraine. Without the so-called error, the White House says it would not be able to arm Ukraine.
The new weapons package includes:
- AIM-9M and AIM-7 missiles for air defense
- Additional ammunition for High Mobility Artillery Rocket Systems (HIMARS)
- 155mm and 105mm artillery rounds
- High-speed Anti-radiation missiles (HARMs)
- Tube-Launched, Optically-Tracked, Wire-Guided (TOW) missiles
- Javelin and AT-4 anti-armor systems
- More than 4 million rounds of small arms ammunition
- Vehicles to tow and haul equipment
- Demolitions munitions for obstacle clearing
- Equipment to protect critical national infrastructure
- Spare parts, maintenance, and other ancillary equipment
No more money for BLOODY WAR. Fund bloody America.
Meanwhile, Putin continues to fund his personal which you dont have any issues with.

Here is a new ripple in the duplicity of certain politicians. The domino theory as proposed in the buildup to the Vietnam war.
US Army versus the Russian Army in Ukraine, Yikes!
John Kirby: if Russia wins over Ukrainian troops, it will have to face the US army
The White House does not exclude the possibility of a victory for the Russian armed forces over the Kyiv regime. And US President Joe Biden stated that with this development of events, the next step of the Russian Federation would be an attack on NATO countries.
During the next briefing, his words were commented on by the US Administration Coordinator for Strategic Communications, John Kirby.
The official believes that if Russia wins over Ukrainian troops, it will have to face the US army.
The US military will very likely need to get involved if Putin achieves a strategic victory in Ukraine
Kirby declared.
A White House spokesman claims that the risk of such a clash between the two powers is extremely high. On the other hand, it cannot be ruled out that such statements coming from Biden’s circle are a lever of pressure
on representatives of the Republican Party in the US Congress. Perhaps in this way they are trying to convince them of the need to continue funding the Ukrainian army.
Kirby’s newly concocted strategy, that he just signed us all up for, makes sense. When I find myself in a giant hole that keeps collapsing on me, I always keep digging until I detonate a nuclear war with my own axe.
FJB and POS obama!
Easy Critical Thinker, calling him peace of $hit could be taken as an insult to $hit.
Accuracy counts and I don’t think the claim here is accurate. I am unable to find evidence that either Kirby or Biden said that US troops would be deployed “if Russia wins.” What clearly was said was, in Biden’s words:
Biden and Kirby are simply using scare tactics, raising the specter of Russia attacking NATO after beating Ukraine (which no one really believes is likely) as a prod to get Congress to vote the funding they want to continue the proxy war. This is not a threat to actually use American troops.

You are viewing comments by John Kirby through your lens. Russia may view this statement in a more provocative way. As always and forever no forgiveness FJB!
That’s a pretty feeble explanation for misquoting Kirby and Biden. I should revise my admonition: Accuracy should count, but it’s clearly not a priority for many, who prefer to revise reality to make it conform to their views and desires.
Dima: “Hello my dear friends.”
Maybe it is or maybe Russia will see it as a threat. Now that Russian troops are battle hardened no Western army will be able to sustain the KIA numbers.
The target audience is the US Congress, not Russia. Moscow certainly knows this.
The world isn’t able to sustain the KIAs that would result from a fight between Russia and Western armies, which is why no one in Washington wants to provoke one. Of course, the morons running the show might very well provoke one unintentionally with one or more of their patented stupid moves.
I was following until, “no one in Washington wants to provoke one.” Are you saying Victoria Nuland did not want to provoke one? If that’s the case, it would be hard to imagine what more she would do to provoke it.
Am I including Victoria Nuland among those in Washington who don’t want to provoke a hot war with Russia? Yes, I am. Just as is the case with everyone else who isn’t an utter moron and/or entirely unhinged, Nuland knows that a direct war between the US-NATO and Russia could not be prevented from going thermonuclear and ending, at least, much of civilization as we know it. There could be no winners and Nuland all the other vile crazies know that as well as you and I do. They do not want to trigger Armageddon.
They are, however, remarkably stupid, repeatedly demonstrate atrocious judgment, and routinely behave so recklessly that they easily could trigger World War Last inadvertently. It’s not even all that unlikely.
I agree with you and would like to add that they are arrogant.
Jeff Sachs on Napolitano’s YouTube channel today. I think it’s pretty close to must-watch:
Yeah. Smug arrogance and appalling cluelessness. Terrible combo.
