A group of Belarusian exiles is receiving training in Poland to prepare for a day when they return to Belarus to take on the government of President Alexander Lukashenko, The Times reported on Sunday.
The Times spoke with Belarusians who were training in a field behind a business park in Poznan, Poland. The training was organized by Bypol, a group of former officers from Belarusian security services that was formed after the 2020 presidential election in Belarus and the protests that followed.
The elections saw Lukashenko win another term, but the results were rejected by opposition leader Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya and her supporters, who say the vote was rigged. The US and the EU also rejected the results and increased sanctions on Belarus, pushing Lukashenko closer to Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Tsikhanouskaya fled Belarus and is currently based in Lithuania. The exiled opposition has taken credit for attacks inside Belarus since the Russian invasion of Ukraine, including a blast that hit a Russian spy plane, although Discord leaks show the US believes rogue agents of the Ukrainian SBU were responsible.
The training session for exiled Belarusians is the first of its kind in Poznan, but Aliaksandr Azarau, the leader of Bypol, said other groups have been training in Poland for months with recruits numbering in the hundreds. Last year, Azarau claimed that 200,000 people signed up to support Bypol’s “victory plan,” including 5,000 who are willing to conduct sabotage operations.
In comments to the Times, Tsikhanouskaya suggested the exiled Belarusians were waiting for their moment. “We’re in safe mode, like a computer, our main task is to protect people and keep them where they are,” she said.
The US has backed Tsikhanouskaya since she fled Belarus. Tsikhanouskaya visited Washington last year and said after meeting with US officials that she was ensured of the US’s “full support.”
Is there a “Bay” or farm animals involved?
Imagine if Russia agreed with Trump that the american election was rigged and started training saboteurs to attack america in an attempt to reinstall Trump.
But see, it would be bad if Russia did it, but it’s good when america does it.
So it will be another CIA regime change mission then ?.
Another attempted regime change color revolution.
“The US has backed Tsikhanouskaya since she fled Belarus. Tsikhanouskaya – last year and said after meeting with US officials that she was ensured of the US’s “full support.””
Once again America through the National Endowment for meddling in other countries governments and foisting a coup on another country.
America has become the evil empire!
America has been the evil empire since the end of WW2 , 33 countries invaded up to the present day.
How much $ support is “full support”?
The $ is irrelevant since there is no actual American or English resources spent. The wealth redistribution comes from occupied colonies or from target countries themselves. In essence, the $ is nothing but political support.
Tikhonovskaya didn’t “fled Belarus”, she left it normally. Lukashenko gave to her $10K for the hotels etc. It looks, she worried, her friends could kill her and use her as a martyr. So she asked Lukashenko for help. Once abroad, she got a lucrative job barking at Lukashenko.
What a dumb statement. You are getting worse. Another Critical Thinker in the blog.
Your statements are dumb because that is your intellectual level.
Allow me to introduce Juan Guido. Taiwan, you’re next.
Guido is a spectacular example of how far the US Government will go to impose regime change while pretending to be fostering democracy.
“Guaido Guaido he’s our man, if he can’t do it no one can!”
Go Team!

what is this a flash-back to Venezuala’s Maduro? Syria? maybe uncle sam will foster some kind of “freedom revolution” in Belarus – like they have everywhere else including Ukraine.
They tried a color revolution in Belarus some years ago. There was even an attempt to kill Lukashenko. Lukashenko responded by clinging closer to Russia.
The claim that the election was tainted is the same strategy the US State Department and Soros used to overturn the election at the time of the Orange Revolution in Ukraine. I don’t know about Lukashenko. But Ukraine’s Yanukovych was vindicated when he ran again and won in an election that could not, as a practical matter, be contested.
I won’t be surprised if a KMT politician defeats the DPP politician in Taiwan’s 2024 election, and I won’t be surprised if the “tainted election” game is played there as well.
This admittion from mainstream propaganda is pretty much a capitulation on any attempts to invade and occupy Belarus.
Other nations have been slow to recognize that US AID and the NGOs it funds no longer has a mission of compassion. This is the soft power that Hillary so enthusiasticaly endorsed (and abused). It is being used to finance regime change and to co-opt governments in numerous countries. But gradually, nations are putting in place controls, similar to the ones we use in the U.S., to force the most dangerous NGOs to identify themselves as foreign agents. It will take time, but these Trojan Horse organizations may eventually be brought to heel.
