Ukraine is eyeing dozens of US-made F/A-18 Hornet fighter jets that have been retired by the Australian Royal Air Force as part of its efforts to secure more Western-made aircraft.
According to AFP, Ukrainian Ambassador to Australia Vasyl Myroshnychenko said Kyiv has asked Canberra about the condition of 41 F/A-18 jets that are stored in an air base north of Sydney.
“There has been a request for information,” Myroshnychenko said. “Ukraine is looking at fighter jet capabilities, including this one.”
Last week, The Australian Financial Review reported that discussions were underway between Australia, Ukraine, and the US on sending the 41 jets to Kyiv. Sources told the newspaper that the US was “favorably disposed” to the idea of giving the F/A-18s to Ukraine.
When President Biden first gave the green light for European countries to send F-16s to Ukraine, US officials said the administration supported training Ukrainian pilots on fourth-generation aircraft, which include the F/A-18.
Providing fighter jets would mark a significant escalation of Australia’s support for Ukraine. So far, Canberra has pledged about $340 million in military aid for Kyiv, including armored vehicles, drones, and 155-millimeter howitzers.
Russia has strongly warned the US and its allies against providing F-16s and other Western-made aircraft, but the Biden administration isn’t as concerned about escalating the war as it was earlier in the conflict and has brushed off Moscow’s warnings.
There’s just no red line in sending our entire military arsenal to Ukraine and escalating the world even further, is there? When are nukes next?….

The west is not forcibly recruiting Ukrainians to fight, the west has not even been in any negotiations so the Ukrainians could just have accepted Putin’s terms if they did not want to fight – which their high morale clearly shows they do.

That would have been a good start. And they would have asked very nicely for us to abide by the agreed upon Minsk accords. And that might have led to Ukraine being a thriving prosperous nation instead of what it is now.

No they did not limit themselves to this, they wanted NATO to expel roll back the developments since 1991.
Well even had they restricted themselves to demand Minsk accords implemented that would not have happened – because of several things:
1) the west want the Russians to honor the Budapest treaty – so the west was not going to pressure Ukraine on Minsk
2) the LPR and DPR was not going to honor their obligations under the Minsk – that would have Ukraine control ‘their’ borders with Russia.
So the Russians were not as meek as to only demand the Minsk accords they had forced upon Ukraine with weapons – yes they turned protests similar to what was seen in Kharkiv and Odesa into a full blown insurrection and fed their soldiers and kit into it to sustain it.

Do you not agree that the west should most certainly be involved in negotiations? By not doing so, are not thousands of lives being sacrificed in order than ByeDone “weaken Russia’?
If trying to broker a deal the west could be involved in the negotiations, only as the west is not seen as an honest broker (correctly identified by the Russians as having a side in the conflict) it would not change anything.
The issue being that the west would not again repeat the error of the Minsk accords, where they allowed themselves to recommend peace accords forced upon the Ukrainians by the Russians. Basically Minsk is now seen as about as healthy an accord as Munich 1938.
And no thousands of lives are only being lost because the Russians have failed to make peace an acceptable alternative for the Ukrainians – they would not fight as hard if that was not the case – like the west were not able to motivate the Afghans to fight.
This war happened at all because Biden brushed off Putin’s warnings in December 2021, saying any discussion was “off the table,” and not even using the phone because there was nothing Biden wanted to say.
It is the same mistake, over and over again. No diplomacy, by people so arrogant they cannot imagine anything other than negotiating with themselves over how much they will do next.

All norms of the International Civil Aviation Organization ICAO were violated in the investigation of the crash of Malaysia’s MH17 flight in eastern Ukraine. Ukraine’s security services were directly involved in this investigation and Malaysia was initially excluded.
For instance what was a military plane doing on the route intended for civilian flights? A Russian monitoring system registered that there were Ukrainian Air Force jets, probably Su-25’s in the immediate vicinity, eye witnesses say at least one was climbing and approaching flight MH17. Why was the military jet flying so close to a passenger plane? Why were eye witness reports excluded from the report?
For the damage to occur on the left side of MH17 (as it flies) it is impossible for the damage to occur as it has, if it was a BUK missile fired from the location indicated, ie the JIT report is complete fiction.
On the same day flight MH17 stayed within its flight corridor until it reached Donetsk but then it deviated from the route to the north. A Russian monitoring system registered that there were Ukrainian Air Force jets, probably Su-24’s or Su-25’s in the immediate vicinity, eye witnesses say at least one was climbing and approaching flight MH17.
Why did flight MH17 leave the international corridor? Flight MH17 stayed within the corridor until it reached Donetsk but then it deviated from the route to the north. Was flight MH17 leaving the route as instructed by Ukrainian air traffic controllers in Dnepropetrovsk. Why was the altitude of MH17 reduced? Was this to make it within combat range of an Su-25?
Why was a large group of air defense systems deployed to the militia-held regions just before the tragedy? Especially considering that the self-defense forces have no planes. Also on the day of the crash Kiev intensified Kupol-M1 9S18 radar activity, key BUK targeting system components. Where they providing targeting information to the Su-25’s?
That is why no international institution has any credibility left, the USA has undermined all of them, including the UN and the IAEA in Vienna with no exceptions.

The Malaysian Government’s evidence for judging the JIT’s witness testimony, photographs, video clips, and telephone tapes have been manipulated by the Ukrainian Security Service (SBU), and to be inadmissible in a criminal prosecution in a Malaysian or other national or international court.
Also the Malaysian Government reveals how it got in the way of attempts the US was organizing during the first week after the crash to launch a NATO military attack on eastern Ukraine. The cover story for that was to rescue the plane, passenger bodies, and evidence of what had caused the crash. In fact, the operation was aimed at defeating the separatist movements in the Donbass, and to move against Russian-held Crimea.
The US/NATO plan was to place 9000 troops in the Donbass to secure the crash site and conquer the Donbass. Nearly 3000 of these troops were to be Australian. This plan was in place well before the MH17 tragedy.
It was revealed that a secret Malaysian military operation took custody of the MH17 black boxes on July 22, preventing the US and Ukraine from seizing them. The Malaysian operation, revealed by the Malaysian Army colonel who led it, eliminated the evidence for the camouflage story, reinforcing the German Government’s opposition to the armed attack, and forcing the Dutch to call off the invasion on July 27.
Total insanity.

A Radio New Zealand Reporter has been placed on leave for his accurate reporting on the Ukraine war. According to Paul Thompson, chief executive of RNZ, the as yet unnamed reporter is under investigation for inserting “Russian garbage” into the news.
The Guardian tells us that in fact accurate information about Ukraine was added to the Reuters copy:
“The articles in question made a range of amendments: adding the word ‘coup’ to describe the Maidan revolution; changing a description of Ukraine’s former ‘pro-Russian president’ to read ‘pro-Russian elected government’; adding references to a ‘pro-western government’ that had ‘suppressed ethnic Russians’; and on several occasions adding references to Russian concerns about ‘neo-Nazi elements’ in Ukraine.”
And more truth was added to the story, The Guardian says:
“In one article, a paragraph was added reading: ‘The Kremlin also said its invasion was sparked by a failure to implement the Minsk agreement peace accords, designed to give Russia speakers autonomy and protection, and the rise of a neo-Nazi element in Ukraine since a coup ousted a Russian-friendly Ukrainian government in 2014.’
Another added that Russia launched its invasion ‘claiming that a US-backed coup in 2014 with the help of neo-Nazis had created a threat to its borders and had ignited a civil war that saw Russian-speaking minorities persecuted.’”

The problem is, this person in RNZ was adding such context that had been banned by the “Five Eyes” Authorities in New Zealand as it undermined the aggressive war (supreme international crime) against Russia.

The provide context, but hopefully they do not edit, if you want to quote some source you have to do so faithfully the problem here was that it was very far from faithfully. So if you want context that is very fine, but putting your context inside the quotes as if it was what the source said that is the problem.
