Germany’s incoming government said in a coalition deal that it will continue hosting US nuclear weapons.
The announcement comes after some speculation that the new government might be opposed to the presence of nuclear weapons based on earlier comments by members of the political parties forming the coalition. The government is being formed by the Social Democratic Party(SDP), the Green Party, and the Free Democrats.
Germany has no nuclear weapons of its own but has between 15 and 20 US B-61 nuclear gravity bombs at the Büchel Airbase and a fleet of Tornado fighter bombers to deliver them as part of a NATO agreement.
Members of the Greens and the SDP have previously voiced opposition to the arrangement, causing NATO to press the country to continue hosting the nukes. NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg said if Germany stopped hosting the nukes, the alliance would move them further east, closer to Russia.
“As long as nuclear weapons play a role in NATO’s strategic concept, Germany has an interest in participating in strategic discussions and planning processes,” the coalition said. Olaf Scholz of the SDP, considered a center-left party, will replace Angela Merkel as German Chancellor and is expected to be sworn in early next month.
Olaf, no relation to Disney’s clownish creepy character, seems already adept at floating good will balloons then popping them after pocketing the benefit just like Biden, Obama and the rest of the “center left” neoliberals. He formed a coalition with the “Greens,” who are reportedly undercover Neocons. They represent an unsettling trend in how you can twist young minds to support nuclear Armageddon… What? You don’t believe me? See: 1. http://shiftingwealth.blogspot.com/2021/05/germanys-green-neocons.html

I believe you.
Surely the giving/lending of US nukes is against the NPT which all the “legal” nuke powers purport to support? Those in Germany,Turkey, Italy etc are certainly not keeping peace as they still have the cold War antagonism to Russia.
I should think so. Putting nukes on German soil, to me, constitutes proliferation.
Let us just remember it was under Social Democrats and Greens that Germany with its Foreign Minister Fisher enthusiastically supported the drunken post Cold War orgy of breaking up Yugoslavia. Do remember that Greens everywhere in Europe are wolfs in sheep’s clothing.
They are neocon creation to attract young and “progressive”, you know those that would pay premium for Tesla solar power accumulating battery, because it has T on it.
Here we are, in the developed world where young are pontificating on identity issues, food choices and saving the earth under guidance of such moral deities like Musk, Bezos, Gates, Zukerman. They are green indeed, shaped in dollar image. Too bad for the world. No authenticity left in any institution that guides our future.
The war-mongering nature of the SPD is much older than Yugoslavia. In 1914 the SPD voted the war funds for Kaiser Wilhelm II to go to war. My grandfather Adolf Geck left the party because of that act.
Deities indeed. Any question regarding this religion, which is complete with guilt and punishment for an inherent love for life like the original sin, is quickly dispatched as heretic/”flat earther’s” lunacy. All while they twist young minds to welcome their leadership into endless taxation/carbon schemes, and wars. This is the true “crisis emergency.”
This applies to Germany as well. https://uploads.disquscdn.com/images/ecb68a0474201075658cdaa012b282ef9593ad99511f7d38bf07c3fd4217a018.png
Dress it up with some gay rights talk or whatever and the left fall right in line.
New German foreign green minister is absolutely pro-American. It is easy to guess what she and her American friends will do the next. First they will organize some kind of provocation in Ukraine. Then blame Russia and block Nord Stream. Or, quite possible, they will try to block all the gas delivery to EU from Russia and replace it by American liquefied one. The main idea is the same as 70 years ago: keep Germany down and Russia out.
