A 27-year-old Palestinian woman was killed by Israeli fire in Beith Lahia, northern Gaza, on Sunday, the Palestinian news agency WAFA reported, as IDF attacks continue across the Strip despite the US-backed ceasefire deal.
The woman, Basma Aram Banat, succumbed to gunshot wounds two hours after she was shot. WAFA also reported that Israeli shelling targeted Gaza City, the Bureij refugee camp in central Gaza, and Khan Younis in the south.

Gaza’s Health Ministry said in its update that it recorded the killing of two Palestinians over the previous 24-hour period, bringing the death toll since the ceasefire deal was signed in early October to 614. WAFA said the killing of Banat brought the toll to 615.
Al Jazeera reported that Israeli forces killed two Palestinians in Gaza on Saturday. One Palestinian was killed in Jabalia, northern Gaza, while the other was killed near Khan Younis.
The violence comes as Palestinians in the Strip are observing Ramadan, and the small Catholic community based at the Holy Family Church in Gaza City is observing Lent, which began on Ash Wednesday. Lent begins on Monday for the Orthodox Christians at the nearby St. Porphyrius Church.
The Israeli attacks have continued despite the Trump administration declaring the “second phase” of the ceasefire had begun and forming the so-called “Board of Peace,” which held its first meeting in Washington on Thursday. During the meeting, President Trump declared that the “war in Gaza is over.”
