Israeli forces killed at least four Palestinians in Gaza on Sunday, according to reports from the Strip, as the IDF continues its constant violations of the US-backed ceasefire deal.
According to the Palestinian news agency WAFA, a 16-year-old boy was shot and killed by Israeli forces near a mosque in Gaza City’s Zeitoun neighborhood.
Earlier in the day, WAFA reported that a 20-year-old man was shot and killed by Israeli military vehicles east of Deir el-Balah, central Gaza, and another Palestinian was killed in Beit Lahia, northern Gaza.

A young woman named Dalia Khaled Asfour, who was injured by a previous Israeli attack in Rafah, southern Gaza, succumbed to her wounds and died. According to WAFA, four of her children were killed in the initial IDF attack.
The IDF claimed in a statement on Sunday that its forces operating in northern Gaza “identified several terrorists who crossed the Yellow Line” and that the Israeli Air Force “eliminated one of the terrorists in order to remove the threat.” As usual, the IDF offered no evidence to back its claim that the person it killed was a “terrorist,” and the policy of the Israeli military has been to shoot and kill any Palestinians who cross or get close to the Yellow Line, even if they’re unarmed.
Gaza’s Health Ministry said on Saturday that since the US-backed ceasefire deal was signed, the IDF has killed at least 576 Palestinians and injured 1,543, more than 2,000 total casualties. If the three additional deaths on Sunday are confirmed by the Health Ministry, which counts bodies that arrive at hospitals and morgues, it would bring the total post-ceasefire deal death toll to 579.
IDF officials recently acknowledged that the Health Ministry’s numbers and its overall death toll of more than 71,000 are correct, though several studies have shown that the IDF has likely violently killed more than 100,000 Palestinians, a number that doesn’t account for indirect deaths caused by the siege and blockade.
