Israeli Attacks Kill 67 Palestinians in Gaza Over 24 Hours

One strike in Khan Younis killed a mother, a father, and their children

Gaza’s Health Ministry said Thursday that Israeli attacks killed at least 67 Palestinians and wounded 189 over the previous 24-hour period as US-backed Israeli strikes continue to pound targets across the Strip.

The Health Ministry said another three bodies of Palestinians killed in previous Israeli attacks were recovered from the rubble. “There are still a number of victims under the rubble and on the streets, and ambulance and civil defense crews cannot reach them,” the ministry said on Telegram.

Israel launched heavy attacks on Gaza City, including a strike on the al-Ahli Baptist Hospital, which killed four journalists. The Israeli bombing of Nasser Street in Gaza City also killed three people, including a child and a woman, according to Al Jazeera.

The Palestinian news agency WAFA reported that Israeli strikes on Khan Younis killed at least six people, including an entire family. The news agency said a father, a mother, and their children were killed in the attack.

Also on Thursday, the US and Israeli-backed Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF) said that it reopened aid distribution sites after they were closed for a day due to repeated Israeli attacks on Palestinians seeking aid, which killed dozens of civilians.

The Health Ministry said that since Israel resumed its genocidal war on March 18, at least 4,402 Palestinians have been killed, and 13,489  were injured. The numbers account for dead and wounded Palestinians brought to hospitals and morgues.

Since October 7, 2023, the ministry’s death toll has reached 54,677, and the number of wounded has climbed to 125,530, figures that don’t account for thousands missing and presumed dead under the rubble or indirect deaths caused by the Israeli siege.
