Gaza’s Health Ministry said on Thursday that Israeli attacks killed at least 104 Palestinians and wounded 247 over the previous 24-hour period as relentless US-backed Israeli strikes continue to pound the Strip.
The Health Ministry said the bodies of three Palestinians killed by previous Israeli attacks were also recovered from the rubble. “There are still a number of victims under the rubble and on the streets, and ambulance and civil defense crews cannot reach them,” the ministry said.
Palestinian Health Minister Majed Abu Ramadan, who is based in the West Bank, said on Thursday that 29 children and elderly people have died of “starvation-related” causes as a result of Israel’s 11-week total blockade on the territory.
Reuters reported that flour and other aid finally reached some of Gaza’s most vulnerable areas days after Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced he would allow a “basic” amount of food to enter the territory, a step he made clear was taken to ensure US support for his genocidal war.
Bakeries in southern Gaza began making bread after being closed for about two months, but Palestinian officials told Reuters that many more aid trucks are still stuck at the border crossings, and the small amount of aid is nowhere near enough to make up for the blockade.
The violence on Thursday included Israeli strikes in southern, central, and northern Gaza. The Israeli military ordered another forced evacuation order for Palestinians in areas of northern Gaza, including Beit Lahia and the Jabalia refugee camp.
Avichay Adraee, the IDF’s Arabic spokesman, said in a post on X that the Israeli military was “operating with great force” in those areas. The Israeli military said one of its tank commanders was “seriously injured” in northern Gaza.
Hamas could have ended this war that they initiated on October 7th at anytime in the last 19 months by simply laying down their arms and releasing all the hostages, saving the good people of Gaza 19 months of grief and chaos.

A little history lesson— The periodic removal of Jews from Gaza goes back at least to the Romans in 61 CE, followed much later by the Crusaders, Napoleon, the Ottoman Turks, the British and the contemporary Egyptians, and more recently Jews removed themselves from Gaza in 2005 and it appeased no one. Within a few weeks of every last Jew removing themselves from Gaza, Hamas rockets rained down on Israel. Lesson learned!
