The Pentagon said Tuesday that the Houthis fired on two US Navy destroyers while they were leaving the Red Sea as the nearly year-long US bombing campaign in Yemen has done nothing to deter the Yemeni group.
According to the AP, Pentagon spokesman Maj. Gen. Pat Ryder said the Houthis fired at least eight drones, five anti-ship ballistic missiles, and three anti-ship cruise missiles at the USS Stockdale and the USS Spruance.
Ryder said that no US personnel were injured in the attack and that there was no damage to the US vessels. He said the missiles and drones were “successfully engaged.”
The Houthis, officially known as Ansar Allah, took credit for the attack. Houthi military spokesman Yahya Sarea said Yemeni forces targeted two US destroyers and an aircraft carrier, but there was no word from the Pentagon about a US aircraft carrier coming under attack.
The Houthi attack took place on Monday as the US destroyers were transiting the Bab al-Mandab Strait on their way to the Gulf of Aden. The attack came after the US launched a series of airstrikes that the Pentagon claimed targeted Houthi weapons sites in Yemen.
The US began bombing Yemen in defense of Israeli shipping back in January, but the Houthis have only escalated their attacks. The Houthis started their campaign against Israeli shipping in response to the US-backed Israeli genocidal war in Gaza and have said they would stop if there were a ceasefire.
From 2015-2022, the US supported a Saudi/UAE war against the Houthis, which involved heavy airstrikes and a blockade, and the Houthis only became a more capable fighting force during that time.
According to the UN, the war killed at least 377,000 people, with more than half dying of starvation and disease caused by the siege. A ceasefire between the Houthis and Saudis has held relatively well since April 2022, but new US sanctions are blocking the implementation of a lasting peace deal.
We were told, they would stop the attacks because of the incoming administration. Pipe dream?
You ever told you that was wrong. The Houthis will test the new administration to see what they will or will not do.
The pro-Palestinian sources are all saying that the USS Abraham Lincoln (aircraft carrier, the only one the USA has in the region) was hit. It was in principle not in the Red Sea but operating around the Gulf of Oman, i.e. near Iran, as reported yesterday 12.

Why would it be deleted? I link all the time. There are only certain words you can’t use.
Those clips are being censored right now. They seem to be shutting them down without community notes. Helicopters are trying to put out the fires. It was a substantial attack. It wouldn't surprise me if they use this to start the war against Iran.
In the Indian Times video, you have to wait, it rolls through. The second looked like a huge explosion.
I can’t, of course, verify when the video is from. But if current, it was not deflected.
It’s truly despicable that govt puts US service members in peril to protect genocide.
Liar.
The US would not hide such an event, why? Because it would be known eventually and if service members were hurt, news do not get better over time.
Liar.
Here is alleged video:

Nope. Try again. It showed an aircraft carrier burning.
From Maju:
The pro-Palestinian sources are all saying that the USS Abraham Lincoln (aircraft carrier)
The text info is correct but the images are of an attack against a cargo ship. Hindustan Times and other similar Indian outlets in YT do carry on the info (I sometimes resort to then because of Western censorship of what the Resistance is saying and doing) but do so in a sensationalist way that I don't like too much TBH.
I have a couple of YT references, Mahmood OD is probably the most credible one (other than he being Muslim and IMO naive occasionally on putting too many hopes on what the Sunni bosses could do, he’s a very good analyst, ultimately everything comes from Telegram and Twitter anyhow): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1VrT6gWImkk
Thanks Maju
"…there was no word from the Pentagon about a US aircraft carrier coming under attack." BUT, some accounts on X are showing pictures. I hope none of our boys died. If they did, Biden is responsible.
But the USA also denied months ago that the USS Einsehower was hit. Yet, right after the claimed attack by Sana’a, it urgently pulled out to Saudi Arabia (and then to Europe and eventually back to the USA), which totally fit the Resistance’s narrative of it being hit and made no sense otherwise. The USA, much like Israel or Ukraine, tends to lie a lot, especially about its own casualties (it’s a matter of international prestige and domestic propaganda, I guess). It did the same when Iran bombed their Iraqi base years ago after the Soleimani murder, with Iran claiming many deaths and the USA denying any casualty whatsoever.
I just tend to trust what the Resistance says, because they really don’t lie (although in some cases they have been slightly hyperbolic but not failing to the truth overall), while the West seems to be ruled by compulsive liars instead.
The Einsehower was not hit or damaged. All those stories were debunked with ease.
They were not. Just because the US government issues a Twitter denial, it’s not “debunking” (rather lying to hide the shame).
Maju, you are out of control.
Stop watching Jason Bourne and Mission Impossible movies.
It's just Hollywood.
I don’t do that, I don’t even watch TV since years ago bc of all the lies but I really don’t enjoy movies much either. I have enough “enterntainment” with the Internet and the many convolutions of Reality. When I want to evade, I play videogames or take a walk.
Yes, they were proven wrong by multiple sources. The pictures were fake including the one that show the Einsehower being repaired which a picture of the one Russian carrier under repair.
And they are wrong. There is no creditable proof.
They seldom, if ever, lie, unlike the USA.
Again, there is no evident. And the notion that pro-Palestinians group never lie is just plain silly.
I didn’t use the word “never” but I can’t think of a single instance in which they lied. Getting the high moral ground is half way to victory (because you earn loyalties, while being a supervillain like the USA and minions earns you betrayals instead).
Maju, take a breather and start expanding your news sources.
To what like: the BBC where the workers were protesting last week because they are being illegally forced to outright lie all the time? Seriously: it’s probably you who needs to actually expand your news sources to something that is not mainstream media (the ministry of propaganda of BigCapital and their government minions). They lie all the time, you can’t be as blind as not knowing that they lie (even if you’re obviously in denial), get real!
In your wet dreams, Maju.
Sorry, you don't get your Allah Akbar moment.
I’m very anti-religion but first of all I’m pro-Humanity. It seems to me that you may be having your Auchswitz glorification moment rather.
"Attacking" is not enough. They need to sink one, killing a couple hundred US sailors. That might get the US' public's attention that this is stupid.
The propaganda machine is on max speed trying to make us believe that an aircraft carrier has been hit by the Houthis.
If you have a US Navy friend, which I doubt, ask him how easy or hard it's to hit a carrier which possesses what could be the biggest defense technology known to humankind.
The chances are slim to none.
But everyone here is an expert so continue making statements that cannot be deleted and stay in the website.
I never watched the pictures (which are not from the original Yemeni statement) and those may well have been a CIA intoxication for all I know or someone going overboard on a dishonest rampage of photoshop propaganda or whatever. I heard of the Yemeni claim and of the USS Eisenhower (and its whole support fleet) quick flight. They were hit for sure. Not sure about USS Lincoln though, they may have been just “scratched”, that could be enough for Ansarullah to beat chest maybe or maybe they phrased it as “we attacked” and not “we stroke” (not sure bc I haven’t paid enough attention and I’m awaiting for some sort of confirmation that may never arrive), what I’m sure is that they mentioned the air carrier, that they also mentioned two destroyers (which are not pat of the ACG but were separately deployed in Bab el Mandeb to hostigate Yemen) and that I don’t know of a single instance of the Yemeni government saying outright lies of any sort. Unlike Israel-USA those people acknowledge their losses right away and in full, no point lying.
