The US placed a fleet of fighter jets in the Middle East on stand-by to rescue Israeli pilots if their attack on Iran failed, Israel’s Army Radio reported on Sunday.
“Israel and the US coordinated a plan to ensure the safe extraction of pilots should the operation have not succeeded,” the report said, according to Turkey’s Anadolu Agency.
The report said the US didn’t participate directly in the attack but was prepared to intervene for a rescue mission. “The Americans’ advanced capabilities in the region would allow them to carry out a rescue operation,” it said.
The US also supported the attack, which was carried out early Saturday, by pledging to defend Israel from any Iranian retaliation and deploying a THAAD missile system for that purpose. Israeli officials said that around 100 Israeli fighter jets, spy planes, and refueling tankers were involved in the operation. The main fighter jet was the US-made F-35.
Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said the US was responsible for the attack since it provided Israel with an “air corridor” for its jets to launch the airstrikes, which killed at least four Iranian soldiers.
“The Americans gave the Zionist air force an air corridor, and the defense facilities they sent them before can be considered collaboration with the recent operation. We consider that America’s collaboration with the Zionist entity to create tension in the region is something very clear,” Araghchi said.
Iranian officials said the Israeli jets launched the strikes from US-controlled Iraqi airspace. Kataib Hezbollah, an Iraqi Shia militia that’s allied with Iran, has said the US must “pay” for letting the Israeli jets use Iraqi airspace.
“America must pay the price for their recklessness in using Iraqi airspace, and this will happen, with God’s help, at the right time and place,” the group said in a statement, according to Rudaw. “They will certainly dare to attack Iraq if they do not pay a heavy price for their aggression.”
The US support for the Israeli attack on Iran could lead to attacks on US bases in Iraq and Syria. If Iran chooses to retaliate by launching another missile attack on Israel, the 100 US troops deployed in Israel with the THAAD system could be potential targets.
"America First" Trump pledges not to fight foreign Wars:
https://www.rt.com/news/606592-trump-us-foreign-wars/
Except for Israel.
His word and his pledge are WORTHLESS.
I pity anyone naive enough to believe anything he says.
Or the Democrats.
The Dems’ empty promises come from a lack of accountability and guarantee.
Trump’s s**t comes from a disconnect from extant reality.
“This is the great power of the two party system. The Republicans are in charge of promoting the interests of the corporate rulers and to push it as far as they can. The Democrats are to control the people so that no opposition ever appears. And that’s a very different task and therefore they appear as very different parties, but they serve the same monied interests and they actually work together as a team to create utter confusion in America.” ~Peter Camejo
He didn't. He just suggested he won't fight for Ukraine. Netanyahu is his best friend and Adelson has him comitted to help the genocidal colony no matter what.
"You don't have to send your kids out to war, have your kid blown up for a country that you've never heard of, and that doesn’t want anything to do with you anyway." —–Donald Trump, Republican candidate for President.
"Several major fact-checking sites regularly fact-checked Trump, including:
PolitiFact, which awarded Trump its "Lie of the Year" in 2015, 2017 and 2019.
FactCheck.org , which dubbed Trump the "King of Whoppers" in 2015.
The Washington Post said in January 2020 that Trump had made more than 16,241 false or misleading claims as president, an average of about 15 such statements per day.
The Toronto Star which said that, as of June 2019, Trump had made 5,276 false statements since his inauguration."

Your quote fits in here somewhere, I'm sure.
How about Space?
“One of my proudest achievements in my first term was to create Space Force, the first new branch of the armed forces in over 70 years; it’s a big deal,” he said. “Now that Space Force is up and running, I agree with your leadership — you want this very badly — but I agree that the time has come to create a Space National Guard as the primary combat reserve of the U.S. Space Force.”
The comment prompted a round of applause from the audience, and Trump thanked them.
“So as president, I will sign historic legislation creating a Space National Guard,” he continued. “So we’re going to do that. Space Force has been very important, very, very important.”
Maybe Don would be smart to include Israel in there, as his true allegiance is to money and that’s where it’s coming from. His subservience to that nation is sickening.
I'm pretty sure that most yankees have heard of Israel. He was talking of Ukraine…
US rescue not only Israeli pilots but also all other Israeli war criminals.
The US is complicit in every war but as the deceptive cowards they are they make the profits while others do the dirty work of killing. Israeli pilots are the real war criminals by international standards while Americans saintly proclaim their own human rights values and how humane and good they are.
Israelis will have to pay a big price, even if they win the wars they fight. They train their children to hate, to torture and to kill brutally, turning them into sadistic monsters and that is what the traumatized IDF scum are when they come home, they are sadistic, traumatized war criminals, traumatized beasts. It will take the Israeli nation generations to overcome that kind of deadly sick society.
Exactly: the USA is engaged in WW3 by proxy, at least these days. They won't, if possible, not fight in any of the many wars they're promoting in Eurasia and Africa, they will just pay their local mercenaries, be them Israel, Ukraine or Rwanda to do the job for them (or die trying).
Many countries refused to be pawns in U.S. proxy wars. Turkey doesn't participate in anti-Russian sanctions. Now Turkey got status of BRICS partner. Hungary sabotaged NATO war efforts in Ukraine from the beginning. At the moment, I think, Orban is still in Georgia where came to congratulate Georgian ruling party with victory in the elections. Georgian ruling party Georgian Dream refused to obey orders from Washington.
Turkey was pawn and secondary master puppeteer of the worst fascist terrorism in Syria. There was when whatever mask Erdogan had fell to the bloodiest ground. They’re all petty imperialists save the ones who are genuinely socialist (in Latin America mostly, the Kurds and allies in West Asia) and Erdogan’s imperialism so-called “neo-Ottomanism” has been causin big trouble in West Asia and Africa, all with Uncle Sam allowance in 95% of the cases (although it worked for Russian interests often).
Orban supports Israel and the Gaza Genocide, don’t get me started. Fico is another thing but he’s socialist.
Erdogan is working in interests of Turkey, not of U.S. Otherwise he would stop economic cooperation with Russia the same as Germany did. Russian gas export to Turkey and transit of Russian gas through Turkey to EU never had any problems. Russian tourists in Turkey are more numerous than tourists from any other country. Erdogan not only participated in BRICS Kazan summit but also made Turkey BRICS partner. By the way, Saudi Arabia never confirmed it's BRICS membership, and even has no BRICS partner status, which means, after some hesitation, Saudi Arabia decided to stay with U.S. Now, Russia, Iran and Turkey are working together for stabilization of situation Syria and doing it quite successfully. Erdogan is not friend of Russia, he just works for Turkey. Definitely he is not a pawn. Scholz and Macron are but he is not.
Define “the interests of Turkey”, please. Such as brutally quelling every single popular uprising of the citizens of Turkey, like in 2013? Such as terrorizing and genociding the Kurds or the Armenians? Such as destroying decades of good relations of secularist Turkey with secularist Syria? Such as becoming rich at the expense of the victims of the earthquake and the oil stolen to the Kurds via the Barzani Mafia and sold to Israel? Such as beating the Turkish women when the march every year on March 8th? Such as promoting terror fascism not just in Syria and Iraq but also in Libya and the Sahel? Such as being best friends with genocidal Israel?
No, Erdogan is a mafioso, nothing he does is good for anyone, including Turkey, unless you consider that Turkey is his clannic mafia.
Better mafiosi than a pawn of U.S. imperialism.
I can tell you, Turkey is a lovely country.
He is a mafioso pawn of US imperialism, or what is collaborating with Isral and the US-led destabilization of Syria and Iraq? You have no idea how evil is Erdogan, just because Putin dances at his tune (because of the strategic importance of the Bosphorus-Dardanelles straits) he’s not a bit better.
"He is a mafioso pawn of US imperialism".
"Putin dances at his tune".
So, according to your logic, Putin is a pawn of a pawn of U.S. imperialism .
You are living in a fantasy world.
Sometimes he is: why wouldn’t he then sign the Minsk Accords, betraying the Ukrainians resisting fascism right when they were winning? Because he hates communism as much or more than the Yankees.
In any case imperialism is imperialism no matter who does it and Turkey is extremely imperialist and genocidal for its size and might.
First of all, Putin is responsible for security and wellbeing of Russian people. As long as there was a hope for peaceful exit from the crisis created by the coup 2014, Putin did everything to squeeze Donbass back into Ukraine (of course with guaranties for Donbass people). Yes, he was cheated by NATO partners. They used those 7 years for militarization of Ukraine. But Russia also used this time for improving the situation in agriculture, military industry and other things. So, the full scale economic war which U.S. launched against Russia in 2022 wasn't so harmful and actually didn't influenced negatively every day life for majority of Russian people at all.
If there would be no Minsk agreements, and if Donbass army carried on fighting, maximum they could take that is Donbass and a couple more of other East Ukraine regions. Without Russian military interference they had no chance to capture Kiev and defeat new Kiev regime. If Russia interfered, then the responsibility for wellbeing of East Ukrainian regions would be upon Russia. Nobody knows how it could play out in time of a full scale economic war.
I was talking about Erdogan originally. Discussing Putin would require hours at a well supplied tavern. Erdogan is a much simpler character in his almost unequivocal evilness (and also our “friend and ally” of NATOstan, much like those Ukro-Nazis or Genocidal Israel, but actually an actual NATO member, actually hosting a key US/NATO base at the occupied Kurdish city of Amed, alias Diyarbakir).
Putin was not just cheated by France and Germany (he’s naive too often, too much for a statesman) but he actually guaranteed in his naivety and anti-socialism that the war of Ukraine would be much worse than needed. He bickered against Yanukovich (the last legitimate President of Ukraine, a moderate socialist, pluri-ethnicist and neutralist) and tried to be friends with the Ukro-Nazis. Ukraine does matter, as Armenia, which he also betrayed, does matter, as Afrin, which he allowed to be genocided by Turkey also matters, etc. You can’t be “knight in shiny armor” when you betray so much and allow so many genocides.
You say: “If there would be no Minsk agreements, and if Donbass army carried on fighting, maximum they could take that is Donbass and a couple more of other East Ukraine regions”. And I reply: wouldn’t that have been much much better? No War of Ukraine would be now if Donbass had won even half way of what you say. In fact, I’m pretty sure that the Maidan Nazis would have been ousted from Kiev as well by the very much demoralized Ukrainian Army.
Iran may well avoid hitting the THAAD systems as they are mostly useless anyway. The thing by some reports can't hit the broad side of a barn, and requires a direct head-on hit to stop a warhead from continuing on from any other type of hit, because it does not use an explosive warhead itself.
So why give the US an excuse to start a war by killing US troops controlling them?
Personally I think Iran should take them out exactly to kill US soldiers as a finger in the face of the US. But they probably won't.
The US-Iran war remains inevitable. Everyone is just delaying for finger-pointing reasons. Stupid chimpanzee behavior.
There seems to be an understanding that Israeli airforce attacked Iran. However, according to most sources, the planes fired missiles from Iraqi territory, away from missile range. The objective was to minimize the amount of time Iranian air defence would have to react. And to disable Iranian air defense. The operation was supposed to last for 24 hours. The second wave was to hit bases and third misille and drone factories.
The operation lasted 3 hours. The rest is still being evaluated. Israel changed its definition from “deadly attack” to “this was limited respinse”.
This may well have been a limited response to end the cycle of responses.
They killed four officers!
How quaint, the Israeli war game planner Anthoney Blinken is playing war.
Oh Yeah… Like the US hostage rescue operation in Iran in 1980s…!!!
Thanks for the reminder.
Botch it in Oct 2024 so Trump can have his "Reagan moment" in Jan 2025 (after the Biden Admin actually rescues them in mid-Nov 2024)
Biden's legacy is nothing but death and destruction, no matter what. In all his years in public office he build nothing, ruins and cemeteries are his monuments.
followed by the Reagan support of the Iraqis in the bloody 8 year long IRAQ/IRAN WAR. The ME is one of the sorriest chapters in American history. Trump or Harris will continue it.
Still I think Trump is safer option for the world. He is no less pro-Zionist than current administration but at least he is not so enthusiastic about NATO and about Ukrainian project.
NATO is imploding as is, it served the USA well, all NATO did was to protect American interest, at no time was there a need to protect a NATO member. The American Air Base in Ramstein and the nearby MILITARY hospital are essential to American military bases guiding Drone traffic in the ME. NATO, as the man said, was to keep Germany down, Russia out, and the USA in. Europe is the dedicated battle ground for US interests, see Ukraine. Trump is as irrational as Biden. Harris will do as told without difficulty, she is without a clue, A WOMAN WITHOUT ANY SHUBSTANCE.
He is very unpredictable that is what makes him so dangerous. NATO is done for, I think, Putin has no need to worry about them, which is good for Europe, it could help to prevent Europe to become the battlefield for American interests. .
I think Trump is more reasonable than those neocons who are standing behind Harris. He had hard time while his presidency. Always under the threat of impeachment. So he relied upon MIC and did everything to please them. Let's hope this time his position will be stronger.
He picked neocons like Pompeo, a former CIA director, and Bolton, appointments the neocons approved of.
Trump wants to maintain US hegemony through Israel and to some degree through Taiwan… versus Biden/Harris who want to do the same through Israel, Ukraine, Taiwan and South Korea…!
The USA has placed itself and very especially its bases in Iraq and Syria at the crosshairs. In fact, even if AntiWar seems unaware, hours ago US bases in Syria were massively bombed again.
The rest of the world knows, even if the western media says otherwise. https://www.lifesitenews.com/analysis/israel-is-leading-the-us-into-world-war-iii-geopolitical-experts-warn/?utm_source=popular
The rest of the world knows that the greatest danger to the world is U.S. pro-Zionist leadership and U.S. militarism. That's why the global majority is siding with BRICS.
