Gaza’s Health Ministry said Tuesday that Israeli forces killed 26 Palestinians in Gaza in the previous 24-hour period and injured 84, bringing its death toll since October 7 to 41,252 and the number of wounded to 95,497.
“The Israeli occupation committed three massacres against families in the Gaza Strip, resulting in 26 martyrs and 84 injuries arriving at hospitals during the past 24 hours,” the ministry wrote on Telegram.
“There are still a number of victims under the rubble and on the streets, and ambulance and civil defense crews cannot reach them,” the ministry added. The numbers do not account for the Palestinians who are missing and presumed dead under the rubble, which was previously estimated to be around 10,000.
The ministry included a link in the post where Palestinians in Gaza could report missing family members. “We call on the families of martyrs and missing persons from the war on Gaza to complete their data by registering via the attached link,” the ministry said.
Strikes on Tuesday included a major attack on the Bureij refugee camp in Gaza, which killed at least eight Palestinians, but many more are under the rubble. “The occupation used destructive American-made bombs in its bombing of the residential block,” Gaza’s Civil Defense said.
According to Tareq Abu Azzoum, an Al Jazeera reporter in Gaza, the majority of the eight bodies that have been recovered from the strike in Bureij were children. “As one of the Civil Defense members confirmed, the scale of destruction there is beyond recognition. They are saying that there are at least 80 Palestinians beneath the rubble and the remnants of these destroyed buildings,” Azzoum reported.
A day earlier, Gaza’s Health Ministry released the names of 34,344 Palestinians who have been killed by Israeli forces, including 11,355 children. Among the children were 710 infants who did not make it to their first birthday.
”Angry red, drips from the sky, flowing into shallow graves, where sisteen eyes, in haloed skulls, gaze at mornings dawn”?….
It really is genocide…
But Nixon also used the “madman theory” (he threatened and did dangerous things), and George Wallace wanted to fight on in Vietnam… It’s tough to say we’re better. Nixon “didn’t want to lose.” That’s it. That’s why he fought. Israel at least has an interest in Palestine. The US simply… didn’t want to lose.
Having an interest doesn't justify colonialism and genocide.
It’s unjustified but less unjustified than US wars for the sake of war profit.
I just feel compelled to make the same comments repeatedly that the US has done very bad things in the recent past. We’re watching Israel commit unspeakable crimes against defenseless innocents, but it just seems valuable to note that we’re probably still as bad.
The US needs to change.
Why did we spray Agent Orange or carpet bomb Cambodia etc? To win. It’s so senseless.
Israel is at least pursuing lebensraum and security.
Anyway, I’m “against” it.
Look up the book “Napoleon of Notting Hill” by GK Chesterton. In the book, fighting breaks out because people finally have something to fight over.
The differences in justifications may be intellectually stimulating and arguing who is more immoral may be interesting discussion – but it matters not to the victims.
All Nations doing nothing to STOP this Genocide, are NO better than the Zionist Israelis. Words mean nothing, it is the actions of Nations that count and when they stand by doing nothing, they are complicit in Genocide. All Humans on this planet need to resist, send a message, by stopping commerce, stopping the enrichment of those who do nothing. Stop shopping, do not buy anything unless it is a necessity. Stop supporting Entertainment, Media, Sports industries, stop traveling. World Leaders need to know, as long as their Genocide continues, we will not enrich them, we will not continue as if everything is alright with the world. Stop updating your electronics, the more updated they are, the more likely a Government, any Government can control it, just because you are seen as the enemy.
When you wipe out the future of a people by killing off much of their young then It is most certainly a genocide.
This is literally a daily occurance.
