Israel Kills 20 More Palestinians in the Gaza Strip

The latest killings bring the Health Ministry's death toll to 41,226

Gaza’s Health Ministry said Monday that Israeli forces killed 20 Palestinians and injured 76 in the previous 24-hour period, bringing its death toll to 41,226 and the number of wounded to 95,413.

“Israeli forces killed 20 people and injured 76 others in three ‘massacres’ of families in the last 24 hours,” the ministry said, according to the Anadolu Agency. “Many people are still trapped under the rubble and on the roads as rescuers are unable to reach them.”

The ministry’s numbers are considered a low estimate since they don’t include Palestinians who are missing and presumed to be dead under the rubble, which was previously estimated to be 10,000. It’s also unclear how many indirect deaths have been caused by the Israeli siege.

Strikes on Monday included an attack on the Nuseirat refugee camp in central Gaza, which killed 10 Palestinians. The news agency WAFA reported an Israeli strike hit a bakery in al-Sumoud refugee camp, which is in the al-Mawasi area, a so-called “safe zone” that has been targeted repeatedly by Israeli forces.

The Biden administration continues to support the genocidal slaughter in Gaza by providing weapons to the Israeli military. A senior Israeli Air Force official recently acknowledged that without the US military aid, Israel would not be able to sustain operations in Gaza for more than a few months.
