National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan on Tuesday refuted a report from POLITICO that said President Biden was considering conditioning military aid to Israel if it invades Rafah, the southern Gaza Strip city that’s packed with 1.5 million Palestinians.
“We’re not going to engage in hypotheticals about what comes down the line and the reports that purport to describe the president’s thinking are uninformed speculation,” Sullivan said.
A full-scale attack on Rafah would incur a huge number of civilian casualties as most Palestinians in the city, which has a pre-war population of 275,000, are sheltering in tents on the streets.
The assault would also disrupt the small flow of aid going into Gaza, as the only border crossing into Egypt is located in the city, and Palestinians are already starving to death in Gaza due to the Israeli siege.
Sullivan also denied the idea that President Biden set a red line for Israel. In an interview over the weekend, Biden suggested an assault on Rafah was a red line but quickly walked back the comment. “The president didn’t make any declarations or pronouncements or announcements,” Sullivan said.
Also on Tuesday, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu again vowed to invade Rafah. “We will finish the job in Rafah while enabling the civilian population to get out of harm’s way,” he said in comments to AIPAC, the pro-Israel lobbying group in the US.
The State Department said on Monday that Israel hasn’t presented a plan to protect civilians if it invades Rafah. “The Government of Israel has said that they will implement a humanitarian assistance plan,” said State Department spokesman Matt Miller. “We haven’t seen such a plan yet.”
So far, the Israeli slaughter of Palestinians in Gaza has killed over 31,000 people, mostly women and children. The US has supported the massacre by approving over 100 arms deals for Israel since October 7.
Brought to you by AIPAC.
Israel could use nukes and the USA would defend it.
You just may be right. Not too long before President Kennedy was assassinated, he had a war of words (letters) with Ben-Gurion about developing nuclear weapons. President Kennedy figured, correctly, that were Israel to develop the weapon Israel would become more aggressive in the area, and in the world.
Israel could use nukes ON the USA and we’d defend it.
Faced with enough missile attacks from Hezbollah or Iran, use of nukes would be quite understandable and moral. If people want to push you out,…”by any Means necessary”
Or at least a “Darn it now, don’t DO that. Or….Or…or else…uhhh….”
Epstein and ilk of Madoff – both are at play
What do they have to do with this?
Sullivan sanctions War Crimes, defending Biden, who is committing War Crimes, WHY are these two not being charged and arrested? WHY do they get to stand up in front of the WORLD and shout out their intent to keep committing WAR CRIMES? Congress is DERELICT in upholding the Constitution of America and is committing sedition by it’s support of the Genocide by the Terrorist State of Israel. Congress does NOT represent the values of our Republic and we need to vote out the traitors!
Power trumps Law. And, for bourgeois capitalism, Power is capital.
Through tattered clothes small vices do appear.
Robes and furred gowns hide all. Plate sin with gold,
And the strong lance of justice hurtless breaks.
Arm it in rags, a pygmy’s straw does pierce it. (Lear, Act 4, sc. 6)
So Sullivan says Biden was just bullshitting. And bullshitting in the same interview was Biden about him not easily able to stomache another 30,000 more Palestinians dead. Also untrue, even if he were able to remember it happening, he would. His words are cheap and his actions leaves no doubt.
Does Biden actually think “Netanyahu is hurting Israel more than helping it?” Well if he actually did he wouldn’t be helping Netanyahu more than helping Israel. But Biden is more about helping Biden to AIPAC cash, selling US democracy to the highest bidder. That’s what’s it about.
Does Biden really want Netanyahu “to pay more attention to the innocent lives being lost as a consequence of actions taken”? Well, no not in the slightest. The disparity between the words and the actions of Biden proves without doubt or any possibility thereof that Biden, to the extent that Biden cares about innocent lives being lost, it is about his reelection chances while having Sullivan erase any rethorical lines he drops, assisting in the loss of innocent lives he barely is even able to fake concern about.
And Biden opining that the genocide Israel is committing “is contrary to what Israel stands for. And I think it’s a big mistake.” Is also an instantion of the cheapest political kitsch in true Biden fashion. If he actually held that opinion he wouldn’t make the US stand for the same that Israel actuall does stand for: a completely anachronistic colonialist racist entity bent on the genocide of a people they deem inferior and a danger to the racial purity of their antihuman dystopia.
“The president didn’t make any declarations or pronouncements or announcements”
What the Hell good is he, then?
Adequate puppetry with a dark heart. Perfect for the shadow government.
For the Zionists in Israel, of great good, A quite conservative one who has said that Social Security and Medicare were “sacred cows”, which I am sure he still believes, regardless of his rhetoric about “protecting the programs”. He was in agreement with Mr. Obama when he put forth the idea for a means test to receiving the benefits. That would have opened the door to further cuts. Mr. Obama. Ah yes. A President with both houses of congress fully democrat, and he did nothing. Did not codify Roe. Among things. So, Mr. Biden is what we have today, a Zombie for Israel, stumbling around, hands going up and down like a robot, pontificating what is on the teleprompter he squints at. Worse, we are going to have Biden v Trump II, with the prospects of that same plate of sh*t again. Only larger.
Biden led the charge on the Democratic side for ‘welfare reform’ and repeal of Glass-Steagall during the Clinton years, and earlier to ensure that financial aid debt couldn’t be discharged by bankruptcy.
Then the only thing we got out of the Obama era was gay marriage and the insurance company wet dream of
RomneycareObamacare. That was Biden 3.0…..we are in a new century and are now suffering Biden 5.0 complete with malware, sw bugs and a shifty user manual.
Biden is a shrewd politician, showing strength. no one likes or respects a wuss.
Biden strength? Surely you jest!
None
“To Be or, Not To BE?….. Hmmm. Food for thought…
So it goes for the Biden administration.
Is National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan writing Pres. Joe Biden’s speeches? Is the President a puppet unable to think or speak by himself?
When was Jake Sullivan elected?
Who is the real boss in the White House?
Is the President a puppet unable to think or speak by himself?
The answer exists in your question. YES he is unable to speak for himself. Look how many times he says he is not allowed to answer press questions.
Treasonous bastard .. how do these ghouls live with themselves..
On your dime…and quite well.
We showed them the way with the bombing of Fallujah. https://rumble.com/v4i7pjn-fallujah-the-bloodiest-battle-of-the-iraq-war.html?link_id=1&can_id=7fbbe59db78b56a6c99f131b86496924&source=email-next-evidentiary-video-fallujah-the-bloodiest-battle-of-the-iraq-war&email_referrer=email_2237591&email_subject=next-evidentiary-video-fallujah-the-bloodiest-battle-of-the-iraq-war
More like Israel tells No Red Lines to Jake Sullivan.
Israel and the USSA (UN) governments are a match made in hell.

Silence for Gaza // Mahmoud Darwish
Gaza is far from its relatives and close to its enemies, because whenever Gaza explodes, it becomes an island and it never stops exploding. It scratched the enemy’s face, broke his dreams and stopped his satisfaction with time.
Because in Gaza time is something different.
Because in Gaza time is not a neutral element.
It does not compel people to cool contemplation, but rather to explosion and a collision with reality.
Time there does not take children from childhood to old age, but rather makes them men in their first confrontation with the enemy.
Time in Gaza is not relaxation, but storming the burning noon. Because in Gaza values are different, different, different.
The only value for the occupied is the extent of his resistance to occupation. That is the only competition there. Gaza has been addicted to knowing this cruel, noble value. It did not learn it from books, hasty school seminars, loud propaganda megaphones, or songs. It learned it through experience alone and through work that is not done for advertisement and image.
Gaza has no throat. Its pores are the ones that speak in sweat, blood, and fires. Hence the enemy hates it to death and fears it to criminality, and tries to sink it into the sea, the desert, or blood. And hence its relatives and friends love it with a coyness that amounts to jealousy and fear at times, because Gaza is the brutal lesson and the shining example for enemies and friends alike.
Gaza is not the most beautiful city.
Its shore is not bluer than the shores of Arab cities.
Its oranges are not the most beautiful in the Mediterranean basin.
Gaza is not the richest city.
It is not the most elegant or the biggest, but it equals the history of an entire homeland, because it is more ugly, impoverished, miserable, and vicious in the eyes of enemies. Because it is the most capable, among us, of disturbing the enemy’s mood and his comfort. Because it is his nightmare. Because it is mined oranges, children without a childhood, old men without old age and women without desires. Because of all this it is the most beautiful, the purest and richest among us and the one most worthy of love.
We do injustice to Gaza when we look for its poems, so let us not disfigure Gaza’s beauty. What is most beautiful in it is that it is devoid of poetry at a time when we tried to triumph over the enemy with poems, so we believed ourselves and were overjoyed to see the enemy letting us sing. We let him triumph, then when we dried our lips of poems we saw that the enemy had finished building cities, forts and streets. We do injustice to Gaza when we turn it into a myth, because we will hate it when we discover that it is no more than a small poor city that resists.
We do injustice when we wonder: What made it into a myth? If we had dignity, we would break all our mirrors and cry or curse it if we refuse to revolt against ourselves. We do injustice to Gaza if we glorify it, because being enchanted by it will take us to the edge of waiting and Gaza doesn’t come to us. Gaza does not liberate us. Gaza has no horses, airplanes, magic wands, or offices in capital cities. Gaza liberates itself from our attributes and liberates our language from its Gazas at the same time. When we meet it – in a dream – perhaps it won’t recognize us, because Gaza was born out of fire, while we were born out of waiting and crying over abandoned homes.
It is true that Gaza has its special circumstances and its own revolutionary traditions. But its secret is not a mystery: Its resistance is popular and firmly joined together and knows what it wants (it wants to expel the enemy out of its clothes). The relationship of resistance to the people is that of skin to bones and not a teacher to students. Resistance in Gaza did not turn into a profession or an institution.
It did not accept anyone’s tutelage and did not leave its fate hinging on anyone’s signature or stamp.
It does not care that much if we know its name, picture, or eloquence. It did not believe that it was material for media. It did not prepare for cameras and did not put smiling paste on its face.
Neither does it want that, nor we.
Hence, Gaza is bad business for merchants and hence it is an incomparable moral treasure for Arabs.
What is beautiful about Gaza is that our voices do not reach it. Nothing distracts it; nothing takes its fist away from the enemy’s face. Not the forms of the Palestinian state we will establish whether on the eastern side of the moon, or the western side of Mars when it is explored. Gaza is devoted to rejection. . . hunger and rejection, thirst and rejection, displacement and rejection, torture and rejection, siege and rejection, death and rejection.
Enemies might triumph over Gaza (the storming sea might triumph over an island. . . they might chop down all its trees).
They might break its bones.
They might implant tanks on the insides of its children and women. They might throw it into the sea, sand, or blood.
But it will not repeat lies and say “Yes” to invaders.
It will continue to explode.
It is neither death, nor suicide. It is Gaza’s way of declaring that it deserves to live.
It will continue to explode.
It is neither death, nor suicide. It is Gaza’s way of declaring that it deserves to live.
[Translated by Sinan Antoon From Hayrat al-`A’id (The Returnee’s Perplexity), Riyad al-Rayyis, 2007]
What do all the ME countries know that we don’t….since none will accept Gaza refugees? They are troubling scum.
US “National Security Advisor…Sullivan [dismissed] a report from POLITICO that said…Biden was considering conditioning military aid to Israel if it invades Rafah.”
1/ As well Sullivan should have dismissed the “report”:
lying piece of shit though he is, the POLITICO “report” is an even bigger piece of lying shit:
a report with zero, in the actual article, to support its gaslighting teaser ‘anonymous official’ headline, “If Israel invades Rafah, Biden will consider conditioning military aid to Israel”…
…a title purely to sucker resistance to 100%-US-enabled genocide into voting Democrat in November.
2/ What Biden actually said his “redline” is? “‘You cannot have 30,000 more Palestinians dead,’ Biden told MSNBC.” [from article, emphasis added]
Got that? 30,000 is one thing – 30,000 more? – Whoah! Now that is going too far! Course – like I also clearly said – I’ll give you unlimited weapons forever and say boo about yr mass murder by starvation – but no more bearhugs for you!
Biden has no clue what he is thinking. So it’s easy to walk back whatever his handlers decide to walk back.
The administration is one great big Gaffe.
Perhaps the terrorist can surrender. Look what the Americans did to Japan to get them to surrender. To this day we ‘justify’ it. In all wars he who kills the most women and children always wins. I think Israel is winning.
Let’s Go Isreal!
