Sen. Chris Coons (D-DE) signaled that he wants the US to send troops into Ukraine to fight Russia in an interview on Sunday. When pressed about the issue, Coons said Russian President Vladimir Putin “will only stop when we stop him.”
Coons was asked on CBS News’s Face the Nation about comments he made last week in an address to the University of Michigan. In the speech, Coons said the Biden administration and Congress should “come to a common position about when we are willing to go the next step and to send not just arms but troops to the aid in defense of Ukraine … If the answer is never, then we are inviting another level of escalation in brutality by Putin.”
When asked in the CBS interview if President Biden was wrong to say he’ll never send troops into Ukraine, Coons said, “The American people cannot turn away from this tragedy in Ukraine. I think the history of the 21st century turns on how fiercely we defend freedom in Ukraine, and that Putin will only stop when we stop him.”
President Biden has repeatedly said that he won’t send troops to fight a direct conflict with Russia and has rejected Ukraine’s calls for a no-fly zone, which would entail shooting down Russian warplanes and bombing missile systems inside Russia’s borders. But despite the risk of a direct war between the US and Russia spiraling into a nuclear exchange, the idea of sending troops into the warzone is becoming increasingly popular.
Rep. Adam Kinzinger, an ultra-hawk who has been one of the biggest proponents for a no-fly zone, signaled he favored sending troops in a tweet on Sunday. “It’s time to understand that Ukraine must win… and negotiation is not in the cards at the moment,” Kinzinger wrote. “Our generations are getting a lesson that our grandparents understood: the only way to defeat evil is to destroy it.”
Over the weekend, The Times reported that the British Special Air Service (SAS) soldiers have deployed to Ukraine to train Ukrainian forces on anti-tank weapons provided by London, the first known NATO troop presence in the country since Russia invaded on February 24. While meant as a training mission. the presence of British troops in Ukraine risks provoking a response from Moscow.
Hell No! No more wars! Talk is better then war! Talk!
Yes!!!
Children playing at games that will yet kill us all … that grown human beings can be so lost to reality as to utter such incredibly dangerous nonsense indicates the end of our American democratic republic better than anything else one may think of.
Time to sell if one lives in DC or suburbs. Nor anywhere wjith military installations like Norfolk orvSan Diego,
These politicians better level with us before asking us to defend Ukraine.
Sorry—but there just is no safe place. There is a military base almost anywhere and everywhere you look.
Nuclear war will end our civilization. We won’t survive it. Russia could nuke itself and we would still all die.
You right. But if Biden’s handlers demand that there should be a nuclear war nothing can stop it
Once the train leaves the station and someone makes a mistake.
Fukushima radiation is still killing the ocean.
Ionizing radiation is bad for you Okay.
Two military air bases near me (Norton, George) were shut down years ago . March is a base for air refuel craft, and was a base of the Wild Weasel squadron of F-4s recon aircraft. Fort Irwin at Barstow, CA is a Army training facility involving mechanized units. Then there is Camp Pendleton.
Why military installations or DC and suburbs? Evey single spot that is important, military, financial, manufacturing (thankfully not much remains) are all targets to be nuked.
Still remember the reply some military top brass gave to Kennedy’s query if Soviet Union would remain mute if their ships bombed or their personal in Cuba were killed by US attacks. Dumb heads like Coons get elected because they mortgage their brains to lobbies
Russia would take out Wall Street, Washington, farm lands, ports. Then whatever they can hit with nukes. Survivors will kill one another for food, potable water. The hoarding during the months after Trump declared a national emergency, laid bare what our citizenry is like, and one can only imagine what would happen after series of nuke strikes.
I have Russian relatives. During the Soviet Union days some were KGB. They had multiple 2.25 megaton warheads aimed for Massachusetts. Ground zero locations were along RTE 28, RTE 6 and I-95. Four warheads in total a Russian relative told me. The explosions would had destroyed Metropolitan Boston and the surrounding suburbs and on the other side of RTE 28, RTE 6 and I-95 where many doctors, CEOs and others reside would had been roasted.
No doubt. But if you demand you be roasted you will be obliged some time. Biden’s handlers will see to it
For people like Coons and the current administration to play double dare with millions of lives is absolute insanity. We could end the war right now. But we will not. To do so will mean another loss. I am afraid that the Biden administration is stupid enough to be more afraid of peace (with a loss) than going head to head with Russia.
“we are inviting another level of escalation in brutality by Putin.” Oh yes, bombing ammo dumps and military installations while avoiding civilians, cities and infrastructure in your next-door neighbour is called brutality by the USA. The biggest destroyer by wars all over the globe (BUT NOT at home) dares to blame others for its interference every time it decides to cause more danger.
Since 1946, we have killed hundreds of thousands of civilians in other countries, made refugees of millions, and, along the way we have murdered 500,000 children in Iraq through sanctions, as we are currently doing to Afghanistan through outright theft, and, sanctions. Coons is a f&cking idiot.
Typical of the other brothers-in-armchairs!!
History is clear: every empire eventually gets the war it is trying to avoid. But it deludes itself that victory is a certainty.

In my mind, it’s a huge stretch of the imagination to declare that anything that happens in Ukraine is a threat to the United States. Isn’t that supposed to be the minimum standard for going to war?
Well said!
Particularly when we have been at war with Russia since the Clinton administration.
Actually, since the Wilson administration, with a temporary truce from 1941-45.
Ah…Thomas…why are my posts all “waiting to be approved” and then disappearing? I’m certainly less offensive than some here.
You probably named the Senator because that could have some racial undertones.
Ahhh I seeeeeeee. Thanks for the head’s-up, Rightster.
They probably include the name of a particular US Senator whose name corresponds to a racial slur that we’ve had problems with spamming of in the past. I’ve been making extra stops by the moderation queue to rescue posts about that Senator.
**Sigh!** I guess so much for Whïte Suprëmaçy and raçïism is endèmíc, because I saw the name and never even thought about how it could be used as a racial slur. I guess we have to be more aware–forcing us to be more racist–in the future to keep bots from isolating us.
It kind of goes in waves, but you’d be surprised at how much Stormfront-type stuff people try to post here.
Fiction is dressed up as fact & fact is discarded. “On Friday, (Ukraine’s richest man Rinat )Metinvest said (Mariupol city’s steelworks) would never operate under Russian occupation and that the Mariupol siege had disabled more than a third of Ukraine’s metallurgy production capacity”. Who wants to bet me: Pennsylvania 19 year olds won’t be fighting Muscovite 19 year olds for a Senator’s sound byte?
The Russians are likely to flatten the rest of the steel plant. Let the Chinese build a new one once this is over.
They are offering them a fair offer but the Azov Battalion sets Zielinski’s tone and there is NO compromise to save their lives.
Those guys are just Azov cannon fodder, likely Steelers too.
Send in a diplomat to get them to negotiate for themselves.
Being a POW alive is better than a dead ideology hero.
Let them decide their fate for themselves, one by one.
The Russians are slaughtering villagers, I wouldn’t trust them. This is frigging medieval at this point no quarter given nor asked.
Russians are giving Zelenski and his Azov goons an offer of civilized warfare. THE villagers are men 18-60 who likely worked at the plant, know their way around and are ready for action with snipers.
Something about Starlink you should know: it’s digital streams are detectable from space with incredible accuracy.
That means The holed-up steelers have a link to the web and to satelite ‘services’.
Musk an an NGO is weaponizing space even though it has been fair game to WEAPONIZE since ‘W’ tore up the no- SDI TREATY IN 2001/02.
Of course Kamillia had to remind us that even though we tore that treaty up, we don’t violate it.
Why? Starlink is a privatized asset of what was government money and resources, our dreamy future, today.
The men 18-60 are conscripted military. further, they are Azov Nazis.
Russia gave Azov goons Quarter to surrender, Zelenski rejects it. Let them live or die.
THERE IS EMERGING EVIDENCE OF RECENT AZOV atrocities and news.
We better move on Ukraine before more gets leaked.
Zelenski imprisoned his rivals and had people assassinated by Azov B.goons.
Right now those in the plant have One option: surrender.
They cannot surrender: they took a blood oath to fight Gog for Pat Robertson, the M.O.G. for Gog/Magog.
What a sensible comment!!! If only “our leaders” used commonsense and decency!
We could write in Duane’s name on the next ballot 🙂
I’m in favor of sending Senator Coons to Ukraine.
I’ll buy the ticket… They can air drop him right into the battle zone. 😉
Oh hell Senator Coons, why not skip the troop step and just start the nuclear war? The few months between the troops and the nuclear exchange won’t amount to a hill of beans.
A Long War has been rejected, unacceptable options are on parade to make the accepted solution more palatable.
When is a gift not a gift?
Senator Coons is asking for war with nuclear-armed Russia.
Let’s tell President Biden what we think of that idea and demand a peaceful settlement.
If you can get through. My belief is Biden & Co realize what they have bitten off and are choking, but are more afraid of losing face than bringing peace. All of this started with the Clinton administration.Obama showed restraint concerning arming Ukraine. The rest are stupid.
Our Patriotism missiles fly way slower than the RU Hypersonic .
max range from a stationary launch is ~2,000 km.
It covers that distance in less than 20 minutes at 6,170 km/h.
have you seen any intercept batteries ?
We got Spaz Farce on the west coast and jets with ICBM interceptors motoring on regular patrol.
This here is ground zero.
What is so unbelievable is the idea that what Russia is doing in Ukraine even scratches the surface of the “evil” that the US did to Iraq. Twice, and with 12 years of sanctions in between, It’s like Charles Manson calling out Jeffery Dahmer.
My thoughts exactly. The hypocrisy of our political leaders is disgraceful. And it’s not like they didn’t want this to play out exactly as it has. Anything to destroy their enemies.
Just glad he is a Dem, it seems easier to criticize.
I got an interesting visual on your description…
We didn’t shoot villagers in the back of the head at close range. What about ism. I would be perfectly OK with war crimes trials for George Bush and Vladimir Putin. In the meantime the Russians need to leave.
U kinda did 16 people in Iraq was killed by marines when they hit an ied and one of their people was killed this family was, living close to the site where the ied was planted
Wait and see what gets revealed in Ukraine 16 in one location versus hundreds and thousands in multiple locations, plus exhortations from the Patriarch to wipe them ( the Ukrainians out).
My man that was revealed because msm covered it and at first they said it was a bomb dropped from a plane then this all came to light so who knows how many went unreported. Us said with absolute certainly that the drone strike they di after isis bombing in Afghanistan was a legit strike against an would be isis suicide bomber and NO civilians were killed in that. Only after media covered it extensively did the truth come out. I seriously doubt Russians r killing hundreds of thousands but u r right, Russian way of war is brutal and they r definitely killing way more civilians in Ukraine then it has been reported. I shudder to think what is being done in mariupol after I saw the scenes in butcha
We killed thousands of innocents I have no doubt, the double tap drone strike taking out rescuers all sorts of crimes and under Bush Obama, Trump and a bit of Biden. Does that mean what Russia is doing is permissible? I was against our wars of aggression in the ME I am against this war of aggression in Europe
Russia lives next door and for 8 years after the US overthrew the elected govt it tried legal peaceful ways to get agreement with Ukraine about the Donbass special status. Ukraine refused and set up troops ready to fight, and finally Russia did come in. Aggression??? Lots of it on the Ukie side, and refusal to negotiate.
Launching a nationwide invasion was a mistake.
Moving into the separatist areas would have been smarter and more justifiable, putting the Ukrainian military in the position of having to launch an offensive.
The West would have blinked. It’s reaction would have been a fraction of the current s#itshow of internationally destructive sanctions and resurgent militarism.
Russia found out just in time that an attack by the Ukrainian army was ready (remember all the “buildup of Russian forces” “in Russia end 2021??) They then took the decision to invade to pre-empt the attack, and that is what has been taking place all this time. The Ukies had all those years where the Minsk agreements were refused by them to prepare for the battle finally now in progress. Russia must win this and also stop the military buildup and nazi influence.
The nationwide invasion wasn’t needed in order to protect Donbass. It was a mistake.
Assuming that the Russian objectives were rational — securing the Donbas republicans and a land corridor to Crimea — then the “nationwide invasion” (i.e. a strategic feint intended to make it look like Kyiv was an objective) probably WAS needed. So far as I’ve heard, the LPR/DPR/land corridor conquests aren’t really secure even yet. Absent the “nationwide invasion,” the Ukrainian forces could have concentrated on that eastern theater from the start and the “special military operation” would have been an even bigger fiasco.
The nationwide invasion was a failure. The Russians could have moved into LPR/DPR and then the Ukrainian military would have to run offensive ops against Russia.
So m I.
I share your opposition to Russia’s war on Ukraine, but I am opposed to bringing the world economy to a halt over it.
I also think the Biden administration either bungled the diplomacy horrifically or actually wanted the war to happen.
We may even see that, but it is the Ukie Army doing it.
“We” destroyed their infrastructure and then placed draconian sanctions on them so they couldn’t rebuild that infrastructure which led to the miserable deaths of hundreds of thousands of Iraqis. Mostly women and children. Shooting villagers in the back of the head would have been a welcomed outcome, comparatively speaking. Besides, if you think we didn’t kill any villagers indiscriminately, then you are just kidding yourself. Eddie Gallegher ring a bell?
Sadly true, plus you have that memorable Albright quote. Does what we did give the Russians a mulligan then?
It should at least stop the pretense that what Russia is doing is any different. The only real difference is the magnitude in which we did our destruction of Iraq. No comparison. Plus, Russia has real grievances that we’ve been ignoring for 30 years. That’s why there is no diplomacy.
Nope f them. I don’t care about Russia’s hurt feelings. How about Putin run a modern economy that benefits his people rather than the oligarchs. I want a world in which nobody invades anybody, including the USA.. The Russians need to lose and never do this again.
Go khaki up soldier boy.
Nope, I support arming the Ukrainians, I don’t support US troops attacking Russians directly. Bit of a red line for me.
And you, like “US”, can continue to ignore Russia’s real grievances and inch us closer to WW3. What does Russia’s economy have to do with NATO encircling Russia? Or missiles on their border minutes away from Moscow? And maybe Russia feels they CAN’T lose this. But Putin, the next Hitler, the war criminal, the madman won’t use nukes. Glad you are confident about that.
Treaties and shifting alliances have been the underlying cause of many European wars, including both world wars.
World War III is just waiting to happen, and the damn fools cry “More!”
Russia will not lose. Your illegal, cruel and vicious punishment of a whole important nation that disobeys you are unforgivable. Putin has over 80% support from his people and it is the USA and UK full of greedy oligarchs, not Russia. If you really do not want others to be enemies, don’t act as you always do, attacking others.
don’t worry honey, just as soon as they can, this Natzified European confederacy will pivot away like a rearing Warhorse to attack south with blinding fury.
The real object of death are the living Hebrew diaspora and they get rescued.
Ezekiel 38:16, + verse 4
If they’re US or NATO, they cannot, by definition, be oligarchs.
Look it up in the Newspeak dictionary.
Great comment!
No doubt at some point “Victory” will be declared and if you giggle you end up in prison for 10 years so victory it will be. As a result of this invasion, Russia will soon have an extra 1000km of border with NATO with Finland and Sweden joining. As a result of this invasion Germany is doubling its defense budget. Till now most assumed Russia wasn’t really a threat, these illusions have been removed.
Actually, until now most probably assumed Russia was more of a threat than it turned out to be.
Well sure, a careful general will always assume his weapons and soldiers underperform and the enemies soldiers and equipment overperform and work from there.
Oh, Amerikkka’s gonna get theirs, no doubt about it. It’s just a matter of time and will probably come in the form of civil war.
Your accusation is just that. No proof, no investigation, just accept King of the Globe Zelensky’s fantastical scripts.
To me, it looks like a lot of the body bag pictures are faked.
Not to say hideous crimes weren’t committed, but I think there’s also false flag fakery afoot.
Negotiate now!
Stop the war! [b4 it b2 late]

Do you know that for a fact, John? Did you have the opportunity to observe every member of the Coalition of the Bribed in Iraq?
Which BTW included several thousand Ukrainian soldiers. Ain’t Karma a bitch?
No I don’t know that for a fact Gypsy, it was a big war with lots of players. This Russian invasion seems to be happening rather a lot and looks to be a matter of policy. In any case one crime doesn’t justify another.
“We didn’t shoot villagers in the back of the head at close range.”
To hell “we” didn’t.
We did worse as a matter of policy in Vietnam [see Operation Phoenix], as a matter of policy, and in the middle east, with a wink & a nod.
Also, “our” bombs killed thousands of villagers. Is that morally superior to the shot in the back of the head.
I deplore Russia’s invasion and war crimes, and I deplore those who would like to make US imperialism look more humane by contrast.
Hey, it was just some dark skinned people that got bombed and shot up, right? Unimportant people. They had to make the sacrifice to become a “democracy” after all. To join the civilized world…… That they never asked for this “help” didn’t matter. Their betters decided for them.
“They came claiming to bring civilization, ravage and slaughter announced their arrival. Afterwards they usurped under falsehoods. When a desert resulted, then that was called peace.”……
Caugacus was declared: “Enemy of Rome” by the Roman Senate. Roman historian Tacitus made a version of this quote famous in the 1st century AD.

With Senators this unfathomly stupid, there is little hope that our country can ever move forward. I agree that this is like letting children play with loaded guns. Who in their right mind would vote for such an imbecile? I guess the same people who were dumb enough to vote for Biden for 50 years.
And he was one of them that pretended to be anti-war when the Don was running the syndicate.
If we’re going to send troops in harm’s way again, let’s do it right with a full set of Congressional debates on the matter and a proper Declaration of War by Congress- not just lay it in Biden’s lap to sign off. Let’s get every Congressman’s name on record as being in favor of or opposing such action so Mrs. Smith knows exactly who to point her finger at when Little Johnny comes home in a body bag.
In addition, it would have to be made VERY clear that the US sending in troops is NOT a NATO action- it’s on us, entirely. If we played it like, “Oh if you shoot back at us you’re attacking NATO” then that’s no better than the ‘No Fly Zone’ problems bandied about these last months. That also means if things- god forbid- ‘go nuclear’ that the entire Russian arsenal is going to be pointed straight at us and not spread out among other nations. Keeping in mind that Russia has about a thousand more nukes than the US and all our allies combined, that’s not a threat to dismiss lightly.
Not even then. A declaration of War would cement the destruction of the West and most of the world.
Imagine this in 2003:
(Russian equivalent to US senator) signaled that he wants Russia to send troops into Iraq to fight the US in an interview on Sunday. When pressed about the issue, (Russian equivalent to US senator) said US President George W Bush “will only stop when we stop him.”
(Russia equivalent to US senator) was asked on RT Today about comments he made last week in an address to Moscow State University. In the speech, (Russian equivalent to US senator) said the Putin administration and Parliament should “come to a common position about when we are willing to go the next step and to send not just arms but troops to the aid in defense of Iraq … If the answer is never, then we are inviting another level of escalation in brutality by Bush.”

I sorry to do economics on everyone. The Senator is an ally of Joe Biden. I typed in (Russian) ruble’s exchange rate. Its recovering. The congress can’t isolate and weaken Russia while spending $8 trillion to send people $1400 checks at the same time. All those people talking about the Petrodollar displacement can type in what I did also.
Welcome to Ukraine. Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya., Syria … and now Ukraine. But it won’t be cost free as in the past. Be prepared to welcome nukes on DC, NY, LA, San Fransisco and others
Every piece of our major farm lands. Dirty nukes that would render the lands crap for hundreds of years. Every major dam. The financial centers. D.C.
Does that mean we get a “do-over”?
We might be over done.
You are demanding so.Your demands will be met
Both Democrats and Republicans play to the cameras over the crisis in the Ukraine. Neither seem to take Putin seriously.
Putin said he would invade and he did.
Putin will probably attack the current arms shipments which may result in the loss of NATO lives.
Putin will attack NATO troops if they move into the Ukraine but will probably fire a warning shot first.
NATO in its infinite wisdom has given Putin few choices.
I doubt Putin will committ suicide and his assassination is unlikely.
Russia and Ukraine will be destroyed but the indispensible nation will have new energy customers if all goes according to plan.
Russia won’t be destroyed militarily unless they take us down with them.
Chris Coons’s kids need to enlist now.
If the Ukrainians were crushing the Russians, as the MSM has been saying, then Coons should just let things play out. But maybe he knows something different. There is no doubt that US troops intervention would confirm what Putin has been saying: the US is behind this entire “bear baiting” operation from the get-go. Such intervention would assure the complete destruction of Ukraine. No telling where it would end.
I saw an excellent PBS show about the Rise of Religous Right Fascism and it includes Nixon. Pat Robertson has been there over 30 years selling this sizzle by teaching that Russia is a Confederacy of Nations as Gog is supposed to be BEFORE they all pivot South to change directions like a Warhorse.
https://www.pbs.org/wgbh/americanexperience/films/billy-graham/
Can we make sure this guy is in the front lines?
I am sure he would be able to convince the Russians not to shoot him by puffing his chest out like a bullfrog and announcing he is a Senator of the U.S. of A., the indispensable nation.
Coons is as insane as Joe Biden is a dementia case.
He is just another social justice lawyer who never served in the military and doesn’t know foreign relations with Eastern Europe. He spent all of his time pandering to South Africa’s revolutionaries and toppling the previous government there.
Sen. Chris Coons Signals He Favors Sending His Sons to Ukraine
Coons said the US ‘will only stop when Russia stops it’
He needs to talk to Col. Bacevich (ret) about that. His son was KIA in Iraq.
The Russians just might stop it when they get to the border of Poland.
Sen. Chris Coons is dangerously moronic. He makes it all sound like a walk in the park. What are the odds of things going nuclear if we go to war with Russia or any nuclear country? They are damn good odds… Sen. Coons, here’s your hat, what’s your hurry?!
and expect the door to be slammed on your behind, Senator, to hurry you along and see if your a** is where your mouth.
There’s the old warmonger mantra that fools like him (can’t use his last name, doesn’t pass censorship muster here) throw around all the time. So what does he propose should stop us? Liberal interventionist warmongers with their “the only thing they understand is the use of force.”
Send the hawks to the frontline! Take a gun and a helmet and go! Leave your constituents alone!
WTF!!!! If he believes that, then I would suggest that the MF be given a weapon and enjoy the feeling of slugs entering his body. What a dumb f&ck!!!
That warmonger has been best buds with the RINOs who all love military adventurism.
bumping the dow with good news
The danger here is what if this is not one random Senator pushing this, but instead is a signal that Biden is contemplating doing so and this is a test probe for public reaction. I don’t trust Biden when he says there will be no US troops in Ukraine. Biden is a congenital liar and nothing he says can be taken as the truth.
what do I want?
A new world.
Just got T-boned by an inattentive driver coming out of an alley.
A new car would be nice and with that too but maybe I should reconsider the idea o going over to Ukraine with our troops to fight for Nazi freedoms there.
Really, go there?
Hope you’re okay, Dua!
In a sense, Coons is correct. Noam Chomsky just gave an interview explaining this:
Coons is suggesting a third way: Make it a new war, between the US and Russia.
He needs this, because negotiation is out of the question for the Biden Admin, they could have had better terms before the war than anything they might get now. Negotiation means accepting defeat. Every other nation would see that, and all the consequences of defeat would follow.
He presumes as do most in DC and our media that the US can overwhelm Russia in a land war on the Russian border. Given the rather small US Army, already widely deployed elsewhere, that is far from a sure thing.
US air power is not necessarily a magic bullet, because the vast Russian air defense systems are designed with that in mind.
European allies have no armies now, and could not create any for a long time, starting from so near zero.
So Coons idea makes sense only if one ignores: 1) wider war is bad; and 2) the US has some military problems too.
Or if Coons wants to use nukes. In which case, nice knowin’ ya…
Do the people of Delaware all suffer from cognitive issues?
Ukraine is welcoming whore soldiers, er, mercenaries. Go right ahead and join up, Chris.
There’s the old warmonger mantra that fools like Coon throw around all the time. So what does he propose should stop us?
There’s the old warmonger mantra that fools like Coons throw around all the time. So what does he propose should stop us?
If Coons actually gave this speech at U of M, I’m surprised that the good people of Ann Arbor didn’t rend him from limb to limb.
Does everyone from Delaware suffer from cognitive issues?
Terrible idea, not our country. We are supporting the Ukrainians about as much as is prudent. I think it is important that Russia figures out it didn’t lose to NATO it lost to the 22nd most powerful military in the world ( until the new rankings come out). NATO is a whole different animal.
Was that 22nd ranking before, or after, the $billions worth of arms poured in?
I suppose before, I don’t know how often these rankings are made. That is the fun thing about war, the unexpected can happen. Best avoid them.
There is nothing “fun” about war. Only deranged people believe such.
“Weare supporting the Ukrainians about as much prudent”? Prudent support would be zero support for any side in this conflict…
Nope, the Russians have to lose. If they don’t Moldovia is next then maybe Belarus.. I want war to be viewed as a terrible idea. So the aggressor losing is an excellent outcome.
Russia has largely been fighting with one arm tied behind their back because they consider the ukraine a brotherly nation and contrary to US kind of warfare they’re not interested in bombing the place back to stone age.
No such feelings for Americans. US forces will be treated as Russians traditionally treat other fascists and hence turned into mincemeat with all they got. Same for US, English S.A.S and other kinds of mercenaries, no Vienna convention for them. some lucky bstardards will survive for the tribunals in Crimea set to start in June, the others will be executed on spot. This is war and for Russia an existential one.
Of course his son or daughter will be the first to volunteer if he is too old to be elegible to go.
My grandfathers killed Nazis. If I entered the war it would be against the Nazis again. Sorry Coons.
Send Hunter and Beau Biden to Ukraine to fight.
Oh, I forgot Beau Biden had a defective body and died of cancer. Hunter Biden lasted one week in the Navy and was booted out for hard drug abuse. Then Hunter Biden seduced his dead brothers wife. Nice family!
Mission creep. When step Z doesn’t work, go full bore nuts on the issue. And Coons seems to be a “moderate” Democrat!” Going to war is the only way the U.S. can get what it thinks it wants! And it fails every time.
is he leading them?
Wonderful idea! Let’s start with this senator, and any other senators or representatives who support sending troops in anywhere. And if they’re too old to parachute into the middle of the action, fine, we’ll just drop them without parachutes. Bet this world would be a more peaceful place for it.
