Israel’s Ambassador to the US and UN Gilad Erdan said Friday that Israel would ultimately like to see regime change in Iran.
“In the end, we would ultimately like to see [the government] overthrown and [for there to be] regime change,” Erdan told Israel’s Army Radio when asked about his government’s Iran policy.
It’s no secret Israel is hostile to the Iranian government, but Israeli officials have previously avoided such explicit calls for regime change. What Erdan said was interpreted by The Times of Israel as “one of the most far-reaching comments by an Israeli official in favor of regime change in Tehran.”
Erdan said he was working to rally the world against Iran. “We would like to see actions that are much more determined from the international community against Iran,’ he said. “We hope the international community will draw this conclusion as soon as possible because we need to put an end to this murderousness.”
Erdan’s comments come after a week of almost daily threats from Israeli officials that they might take military action against Iran over a deadly attack on the Mercer Street, an Israeli-linked ship that was hit by a drone last week. The attack killed two crew members; a British national and a Romanian.
Israel, the US, and now the G7 have all blamed Iran for the Mercer Street attack, but Tehran maintains its innocence. On Thursday, Israeli Defense Minister Benny Gantz said Israel was prepared to attack Iran and urged that other countries also take action. “We are at a point where we need to take military action against Iran. The world needs to take action against Iran now,” he said.
The Very Brave leaders of the Apartheid state want to start a war with Iran. That’s understandable, but in this case they might be required to firing the first shots themselves instead of sneaking around and getting somebody else to do it. So how would I arrange things if it was me who was setting up the Regime Change War With Iran?
First I’d send in God’s Favorite air force, with a few missiles on the side. They’d do a lot of damage, but hardly any kind of mortal blow.
Next, I’d sit back and wait for the inevitable Iranian retaliation. For this part of the drama I’d have prepared by installing explosives within or very near Western Embassies. If they weren’t actually destroyed, there would a whale of a lot of shattered glass and broken walls. Similar packages would have gone into buildings in the “low rent” areas. You want a few dozen dead school kids here, a bunch of suddenly-dead Holocaust Survivors there. The idea would be to demonize Iran, and you can bet your last buck the Corporate Media in the West would start baying at the moon for the Regime Change scheme.
Finally, break out the popcorn and beer and cheer when the US and other usual dummies started the long task of smashing Iran at least as well as was done in Iraq, Syria, and Libya.

In fact, that is what Iran predicts, not threats of attack against Israel. They say exactly what Israel says, but they do not constantly launch real attacks inside Israel like Israel does inside Iran.
Funny how a nation that falls back on the Holocaust constantly is now showing the world one in motion before the actual mass deaths.

Iran has to use this tactic. Apparently it is ok to do what Israel does if it’s to curtail Iran’s “atomic drive”. Now if Iran drives that home every fu*king day like the Israeli’s do it would bring out the fact that only one country in that region has nukes and it isn’t Iran.

They should say that publicly right now and point out the differences in reactions that would be forthcoming by the US. There would be condemnation for Iran and agreement with Israel. Similar to tankers getting bombed.

I read elsewhere that the Mercer Street was Japanese-owned NOT Israeli-owned. The ship was only Israeli ***OPERATED***. Meanwhile, no Israelis were killed or injured. All of which conveniently/coincidentally minimized any injury to Israel while — surprise! surprise! — maximizing the “benefit”.

It is less and less clear how is the mess related to Israel at all.
Two people died. One is British security man, and another Romanian captain. They were both initially reported as crew. The only damage is at the pilot bridge. We see a broken monitor and some debris.
The “investigative” team from US carrier came up with an implausible story.
If attacking an oil tanker — why target pilot bridge? And what has this to do with Israel.
Let me fry another scenario. The security man was there on behalf of Israeli managing the ship with the mission to cause an explosion to be blamed on Iran. In the Gulf of Oman where the next militarization of waterways will occur — for many reasons.

It is possible that the Captain discovered the plot, killed the “security” man and then himself being killed by another “security” man present at the scene,
Unless there is an autopsy conducted by a truly independent authority — I do not believe a word of it.

The rest — remains of the drone conveniently with all Iranian markings — I do not believe a word of it. The roof of any pilot bridge is not substantial to be a barrier to an explosive. Yet, the picture shows a destruction with a computer monitor barely damaged! Military grade explosive would have obliterated the weak structure.

The way to deal with neo-Nazi Israel and the BDS is to treat Israel with disdain and shun all those that support its crimes. For starters, retail investors like me who let their brokers or institutions do the legwork and invest in mutual funds have to dig through and find out what’s objectionable. If one fund or broker won’t assist, another one will.
A preferential regime (MEK) change means the Israel-US axis would have control over Iran’s oil production and distribution. That’s hardly a positive for Iran’s citizens.
