In the latest of what have become regular reports on the subject, the Syrian Arab News Agency provides a detailed account of the American military forces illegally occupying part of the country continuing to loot grain and oil from the nation.
(Spelling of the relevant locations is that of the Syrian agency.)
It was reported that 45 U.S. vehicles departed the town of Rmelan in the northeast province of Hasaka (the al-Hasakah Governorate) loaded with stolen wheat and oil, “in parallel with bringing equipment and logistical material to support their bases in the province.” The amount of vehicles bringing arms and supplies to the military base was reported to be 27.
The same source notes that on July 3 the U.S. military moved 37 tankers full of stolen Syrian oil and several more trucks and refrigerator vehicles from the al-Jazeera region through the unauthorized al-Walid crossing used by the U.S. to smuggle grain and oil into Iraq. Such convoys are ordinarily escorted by armored vehicles.
The Pentagon maintains an estimated 900 troops in Syria in violation of international law, many of them at a base referred to as Fort Conoco.
Washington’s NATO ally Turkey, meanwhile, continues to divert – pilfer – water from the Euphrates and Tigris Rivers, depriving Syrians of drinking water and water for irrigation, a populace which has already been afflicted with drought conditions for almost a year.
Syrian Arab News Agency reported on July 3 that over a million people in Hasaka (note the overlap of American and Turkish actions) are suffering from lack of drinking water because of Turkey and its mercenary allies cutting off supplies to the governorate.
After capturing the city of Ras al-Ayn, Turkish troops confiscated the Allouk water station and cut off all water to the city of Hasaka and dozens of nearby towns and villages. These gross violations of international humanitarian law continue in the face of “the silence of international organizations and bodies towards a war crime as described by international conventions.“
This is why Washington fights so hard to stop the ICC from investigating war crimes. Accountability must be a terrifying concept for the people giving these orders.
The ICC does not seem too keen either. There must be a reason for that.
Remember folks, the US bombs and starves the Syrian people because their President is a “dictator who gases his own people.” When the Syrians re-elect their President for his final 7 year term, the US says they elected him because he is a “dictator who gases his own people.” We sanction, steal their food and oil. We cut off their water. We prevent them from rebuilding after the Syrians defeated Al Qaeda in Syria, which we supported. Obama could not get the American people approval for this dirty inhumane war but still managed to start it illegally… What’s that? “Humanitarian intervention” is complicated? The Syrians tell you to take your “humanitarian intervention” and shove it.
You’ve exactly described the new rules-based-order.
well said.
“If we have to use force, it is because we are America. We are the indispensable nation. We stand tall. We see further into the future.” Madeleine Albright

Lesley Stahl, speaking of US sanctions against Iraq: “We have heard that a half million children have died. I mean, that’s more children than died in Hiroshima. And – and you know, is the price worth it?”
Madeleine Albright: “I think this is a very hard choice, but the price – we think the price is worth it.”

“Why should we hear about body bags and deaths … I mean, it’s not relevant, so why should I waste my beautiful mind on something like that …”
(Former First Lady, Barbara Bush, Good Morning America, 18th March 2003)
Good job! You included important quotes. I almost forgot Barbara Bush’s psychopathic quote. Both Albright and Barbara Bush possessed features reminiscent of the satanic demons from the “Devil’s Advocate.”
She took after her father, Aleister Crowley

In the meantime …
US is funding a major new project, Turkey Democracy. To the tune of who knows how much. Spearheaded by Bolton and PNAC, and the candidate tapped to run it may be the same as the one running an identical Iranian outfit. The goals? As subtle as nuclear bomb. Bring democracy and human rights, etc. Regime change. Turkey is to return — in their view — to their golden era of being “respected” NATO ally.
Etc.etc.
And as subtle as a sledge hammer they are recruiting antiwar and progressives in their quest to squash the troublesome nascent China-Rusia-Pakistan-Iran-Turkey arc.
And part of that by now obvious coordination is a danger to Israel. It sets a dangerous precedent that a NATO US ally can freely and openly criticize Israel. Same goes for Pakistan — another country US once controlled fully.
It creates a climate in which Arab countries contemplating relations with Israel cannot do it easily — for as long as their population can see how Turkey, Iran and Pakistan do not obey US orders in the matter of Palestinian-Israeli conflict.
While none of these countries are eager to antagonize US — quite the opposite, they go out of their way to be friendly — they are no longer obedient. Tests of obedience are many, but few are paramount. No advanced weapons purchase from Russia, obligatory support for Israel, no Chinese advanced technology and long-term infrastructure and commercial investments and human rights du jour.
Turkey has just withdrawn from Istanbul Convention on the rights of women. Why? Because according to Turkey, protection of women’s rights in European bodies has been taken over by LGBT movement that is more focused on gender issues, not protection of women. Turkey’s decision to withdraw is based on the conclusion that international bodies are no longer protecting women.
Same issue is the cause of discord between Hungary and EU. EU Parliament in particular has become the body that advanced two key issues — LGBTQ+ rights and anti-Russian politics. Irrespective of the specifics— the key is obedience.
And such signs of refusal to obey are being watched and action is taken as appropriate. It usually starts with supporting domestic forces of “democracy”.
And then they have the audacity to accuse China of human rights violations. Western media sources are presenting us with mirror images.
we dont have a government, we are ruled by a criminal syndicate.
You repeat yourself.
i find that the majority of people never listen the first time they hear something.
Going back to the Eisenhower administration, Ike commissioned the efforts toward overthrowing the governments of Iran and Syria.
Hit a home run in 1953 with the Iran coup, which, some experts believe, was the cause for the rise of radical Islam.
Obviously, we are still working on Syria.
Let’s see, what did General Wesley Clark say……………………………..?
