At a rally in Paris last Sunday, former Republican presidential candidate and House Speaker Newt Gingrich spoke on behalf of the Mujahadin-e Khalq (MEK), an Iranian opposition group considered a terrorist organization by the US State Department.
“This is a massive, world-wide movement for liberty in Iran,” Gingrich said, in a short speech posted on YouTube. “And not anything like the State Department’s descriptions.”
The push to get the group removed from the State Department’s list of terrorist organizations, presumably to make it eligible for US funding to undermine the Iranian government, ignores the fact that the MEK engage in violence to this day.
MEK fighters have been secretly trained by the US in recent years and is now being employed by Israel to conduct acts of terrorism inside Iran. To US officials in Washington though, any group that happens to oppose their enemy, Iran, are freedom fighters.
The MEK has received years of praise and advocacy from elite members in American politics, from former Governor of Pennsylvania Ed Rendell to former UN Ambassador John Bolton to former Governor of Vermont Howard Dean and former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani. These types of people collected payments from the MEK for their advocacy to get the group removed from the State Deparment’s list, which amounts to “material support” for terrorist groups, a felony.
Embarrassingly, Gingrich railed against the Iranian regime for the Iranian hostage crisis, where hundreds of US citizens were taken hostage at the Iranian embassy following the 1979 revolution, not knowing that the State Department says the MEK participated in it. The MEK is also said to have praised the 9/11 attacks when they occurred in 2001.
The hypocrisy of pro-MEK shills like Gingrich is stark. It was only a matter of years ago that Gingrich’s own party, making the case for a war in Iraq which he also supported, claimed Saddam’s support for the MEK “terrorist” group justified the US invasion.
“Iraq shelters terrorist groups including the Mujahedin-e-Khalq Organization (MKO),” read the Bush administration document, “which has used terrorist violence against Iran and in the 1970s was responsible for killing several US military personnel and US civilians.”
How much Gingrich.., how much did they pay you, how much dose a H…….RRRR gets per hour or how much for entire night.
I'll come out and say it if you're too timid. Yes, he's a "whore"
Thank you MoT.., I was thinking about the same whore as you were, but spelling the meaning as HOOOOORRRR..,
A "whore" that is the least of the words that describe him, I would go further, and describe him as giving material aid to a proscribed Terrorist organisation, the reality is he has committed the ONLY criminal offence mentioned in the Constituiton of the United States "TREASON".
He should be immediately arrested and tried, the Republicans complain Attorney General Holder doesnt do his Job, I wonder how they would feel if he actually did and arrested all of those Republicans LIKE Gingrich who commit treasonous acts against the United States.
There woud be uproar, but it would actually stop them!
Well anyone who claims the MEK supported the hostage taking by the mullahs in 1979 is really off base and ignorant of post-revolutionary Iranian politics. I know you are repeating lies and misinformation out there but it shows how uncritical you are of anything that serves you. Khomeini actually launched the hostage episode to out-maneuver leftist forces in Iran and prop himself up as the champion of anti-colonial and anti-foreign intervention policies. The MEK did not support the hostage taking, they rather criticsed Khomeini for it and questined the geniuniness of his purported "progressive" foreign policy. They MEK certainly never participated in the hostage-taking either. Claims to the contrary are just baseless accussations and lies that fly around in circular fashion without any critical review.
Criticize the MEK, and the cult's apologists are soon out in force.
So you are suggesting that the US State Department is lying?
"Though denied by the MEK, analysis based on eyewitness accounts and MEK documents demonstrates that MEK members participated in and supported the 1979 takeover of the U.S. Embassy in Tehran and that the MEK later argued against the early release the American hostages. The MEK also provided personnel to guard and defend the site of the U.S. Embassy in Tehran, following the takeover of the Embassy."

They come out of the woodwork like the apologists who rant about any number of things. Touch their buttons and off they go.
You sound surprised that the US State Department is lying?
FYI, the State Department's purported documents don't stand in a court of law, ie: DC Circuit Federal Court of Appeals.
So you got any other lies that you just repeat without checking?
MeK was one of the (left winged) forces who brought khomeini to power, later and due to the sectarian differences they split, look: Hamid, if MeK was or had a place within the heart of the Iranian people they wouldn't leave there brothers and sister in hand of the regime, they wouldn't leave the country and running for cover in Iraq, if they had any support among the Iranian people they wouldn't ask and pay Gingrich to talk and do the advertising for them, if they had the Iranian peoples support the Iranian people would have backed them up from day one. You know it so as I and everyone involved in the Iranian history, MeK have a supporters in EU and US and counting their “Military base” in Iraq they are no more then 10.000, but they are rich so is Massoud Rajavi and his wife, they taking in millions of dollars every year and what they do with it.., they have a luxury life in Paris, pay Gingrich to preach the the American falsified freedom, democracy based on capitalism terms and conditions, and you want to change the Iranian regime… my question is to what..,? a new dictatorial regime supported and financed by Saudis. Simplifying the matter, you and people like you supporting a group, not an organization or a political party or a movement that have a political or a social program for the better, if MeK had the support of the Iranian people they would govern the country by now. MeK was and still is a terrorist group, not an organization or a political or a revolutionary, is a terrorist group and getting paid by its rich members to remain a terrorist groups.
Hey Mr. Mojo, why do you waste so much time! Just ask your mullah friends to allow free elections? Okay? Then we will see. That's all that is needed. We don't need the above nonsensical mumbo-jumbo about MEK not having support. If they didn't have support they would'nt have so much money. Their money is raised from Iranian Diaspora and concerned citzens of the world who cherish their sincerity in their fight for democracy in their country. Point to one other movement that has given over 120,000 in members and sympathizers in the fight for that value against the savage religious dicatatorship in Iran!
You can't. Listen, you have any evidence about Saudis and Israel and Russia and this and that paying the MEK? You will probably point to rehashed websites with no original source material and just rubbish lies. This lie is just to relax uncritical folks' conscience to explain away the MEK without thinking too hard and without criticizing the mullah sponsored misinformation about them.
John Glaser's article is a bunch of lies straight out of the Iranian mullahs play book. It is interesting as the noose around the Iranian clergy's necks get tighter we have more people like John Glaser try to come to their aid. If all the so called claims that MeK is trained by Israel to do terrorists acts inside Iran are true then how come the State Department cannot give any evidence of MeK's so called terrorist activities to the District Court of Columbia. There is not a shred of evidence that shows any of these alleged terrorists activities. These claims are manufactured by the Iranian clergy and their network of paid supporters to discredit their main opposition. If Mr. Glaser has any journalistic integrity he would come up with proof to these allegations. Last but not least let me point to the WIKI LEAKS. No matter how hard John Glaser and other supporters of the statues quo with the mullahs try, the Iranian people will soon overthrow these monsters and the files and secret payments made by the ministry of information of the clerical regime will be public and we will all find out how much they had paid for this kind of negative article about the opposition to so called journalists.
As far as Mr. Gingrich is concerned the Iranian people will never forget honorable politicians who stood on their side at their darkest of hours.
Democracy — Terrorism against the uneducated lower half of society
In every nation on earth the upper half of society owns all the wealth, so a terrorist is anyone who uses violence to end such a corruption.
So, as the upper half uses a form of terrorism called democracy to plunder all wealth from the lower half of society, is it not brainwash to call only the blowback terrorism?
STOP BARKING GINGRICH
Gingrich supports terrorism. Nothing new here. Gingrich supports state-sponsored terrorism in virtually every form. Gingrich is a total hypocrite backed by Sheldon Adelson – a casino billionaire under investigation for links to organized crime – Chinese triads in Macao and Singapore and the Mafia in the USA. Gingrich is a fool, but bigger fools than Gingrich give him millions of dollars and their admiration.
Got to pay off those pointless campaigning debts somehow.
“This is a massive, world-wide movement for liberty in Iran,” Gingrich said…”
This guy is either a hypocrite or as dumb as they come from the US Congress, although he is an ex-member of the morons. MEK is and has been a terrorist group whose first job was killing 3 of us, Americans, you idiot.
The US’s CIA is helping the terrorist groups in Syria. If helping a terrorist group is a felony, then, as sure as 2 + 2 = 4, the entire cabal comprising the US regime has committed a felony and needs to be prosecuted by their felonious friends in DOJ.
thats the trouble the other crooks don't want to prosecute , sooner or latter they might be proscuted to . then we would have to elect new criminals
