Obama Cozies Up to Uzbekistan Dictator

The Bush administration buddied up with the dictatorship in Uzbekistan, which borders Afghanistan to the north, in order to place military bases there and provide supply routes to troops in Afghanistan. The fact that the leader of Uzbekistan, Islam Karimov, is a brutal dictator with a penchant for torture, never stopped the mountains of military aid sent there as a bribe for cooperation in the Afghan war. But now Obama is cozying up to Karimov more than ever, asking Congress for more guns and butter to send him.

Of course, how could we possibly pass up such an efficient killer. We want him on 'our team' just in case we need some extra torture or murder somewhere in our 'secret' kingdom(the world).

If I had to pick a guy who's body language sez power-mongering sadist, I'd have to pick Islam Karimov over about anyone the US has either harrassed or sought to oust. Saddam Hussein didn't especially strike me that way. http://www.youtube.com/user/uzbekhelp#p/u/19/57kakD2p4Ug
