A new Reuters poll has found an overwhelming number of Americans opposed to attacking Syria, with only 10 percent in favor and 61 percent firmly averse to the idea.
Even if the Syrian government began using chemical weapons, posed as a separate question in the poll, the number in support is only 27 percent, well below the 44 percent that remain opposed.
This is the second poll in as many days reflecting an opposition to starting a new war in Syria, with a NY Times/CBS poll yesterday showing a 24-63 percent opposition in a differently worded question about “responsibility” to attack Syria on behalf of the rebels. That poll also showed opposition to attacking North Korea, something not mentioned in today’s.
The Obama Administration has yet to comment on the popular opposition, but reports suggest that they are moving toward arming the rebels, perhaps seeing his as a more politically palatable alternative to a direct invasion.
The American people have more sense than their government. Thank god the mainstream media have published the results of these surveys, as opposed as these results may be to the policies the government has been espousing and the the media have been endorsing.
As the ghastly billary once proclaimed when it comes to decisions like these suddenly we aren't a democracy anymore. We have to trust our dear leaders because only they have the knowledge and skill to make these decisions. That they are steered around like cattle by their neocon bosses of course we should just ignore. There's your presidential leadership right there- always a slave of Israeli-firsters.
Obviously the American public is smarter than the President.
Maybe the President ought to listen.
American working man and women are fooled enough by a falsified democracy for last 60 years.., they simply don't buy any more lies said and thrown at them any more. Good for them.., next thing to do is for them to start demanding more.
I imagine any attack on Syria, Iran, North Korea or anywhere else by Tel Aviv's bitches in Washington will garner the same response the neutered "USA! USA!"-chanting sheeple in Boston gave their police-state goons. Back to your beer, football and porn, dumb-asses. You deserve to be slaves.

Who are the percentage that thinks we need to attack Syria? How out of touch with reality are these people? I wonder if they feel the same way about how Saudi Arabia treats it's citizens?. Rhetorical questions.
