In a Christmas press conference attended by a number of top ambassadors, Israeli Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman lashed those critical of Israel’s position on the peace process, while insisting no peace could be achieved within the next decade.
“In the next decade, this will be the situation and we need to know how to deal with it,” insisted Lieberman, saying that ambassadors should focus on “managing” the conflict instead of trying to solve it.
Lieberman also reiterated his condemnation of the European Union for criticizing settlement expansion, saying that the only obstacle to peace with the Palestinians is the Palestinians themselves and that construction would continue.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu seems to support the notion that the Israeli government has abandoned the idea of peace, insisting that his government will no longer negotiate with the Palestinians under any circumstances once they form a unity government, something expected within the next few months.
Vig Lieberman is insane. However, so is Netanyahu and Israel stumbles blindly to it's own demise.

If there is no peace it will be because Israel refuses to let it happen. The actions of the Israel government is the obstacle to peace in the Middle East.
Is this anything new? Israel never intended to have peace. Why have peace, if you have all the advantages of status quo. For as long as Roman style LIMES are being built to criss cross the Palestinian towns and vilages, and for as long as the never ending "settlement" process can continue, why on earth have peace? Peace would stop this progress in its tracks. In a few more decades of this, nobody will talk of peace process any more. All the occupied territories will be subdivided into smallest units, divided by roads and walls, new towns built for Jews only. So, is there any reason for Israel to behave differently. They will achieve peace, on THEIR terms. The problem is, we humans do not know often what is around the corner. So, if we are HUMBLE when the fortune favors us, we will have a cushion when the wheel of fortune goes against us. Israel does not think it needs to be on its guard against misfortune. Time will tell if they will — against all the lessons of history — be justified in arrogance this time.
Lieberman is stating the truth, from an Israeli viewpoint – the Palestinians are the obstacle to peace. They are the obstacle to Israeli peace. The Israeli solution: No more Palestinians.
Since its creation, Israel has slowly been eradicating the Palestinian problem. Lieberman is now stating that the final solution will be achieved within 10 years – no Palestinians within Great Israel.
After peace has been established in Palestine, it will be the turn of the Lebanese, no more Lebanese, then perhaps Syria.

BTW the conduct of a hooker is about what one now expects from the welfare state in the middle east. Few clearly have put a bad face on anything like the foremr bounce Lieberman. Mr. Lieberman is correct of course.There will probably be no peace for decades as long as Israel remains a military bully supported by the U.S. war machine. If the U.S. withdrew its military support of Israel, they would be crying for peace within a very short time because they could no longer bully their enemies with the threat of U.S. might. This is clear to most of the world who look with disdain on the effects of military might. It is the antithesis of world peace.

'Managing the conflict' literally means; managing the Congress, the US Congress that is. If Peace was actually achieved could Israel keep on 'managing' our elected officials? Peace might bring an end to the American $$$$$ pipeline because peace for Israel would literally mean peace for the US as well and then all the military contracts would likely start to shrivel up unless our leaders can stir up some first-class animosity with Russia or China to reboot it again.
