		<description>Actually, when the Taliban were in power they pretty much eliminated all opium and heroin production. It only began to reappear right after the US and the UK took over, which makes sense given the history of the CIA and other western institutions&#039; involvement in drug dealing. I&#039;m not saying support the Taliban, not at all, but we should acknowledge that the heroin trade there is being directed by western interests, who are making big bucks off of it. As long as the US is running the country there&#039;s going to be large amounts of drug trafficking, just as there is in the US. There&#039;s tons of money in it, and as far as I can see, that&#039;s the one and only thing that the gangsters who have taken over the Democrat and Republican parties care about.
