The ongoing costs of the growing quagmire in Afghanistan, the ongoing costs of occupying Iraq, the ongoing costs of maintaining a worldwide empire of 800+ military bases; all of this wasteful and profligate military spending is going to result in the total destruction of the American economy. And, when that happens, sir, all hell is going to break loose right here in America. It is time to end the wars. It is time to put an end to the constant clamor for more war (Iran). It is time to put an end to the ruling establishment's military empire. The America people can't afford the damned empire, or its wars, anymore. Rep. Skelton, you look like an old guy like me.
