Only an American would think these people aren't spies. Of course, if a group of Iranians were caught at the Canadian border near Montana, Americans would be screaming hysterically that Tehran was trying to infiltrate terrorists into the US. With regard to our "tourist/journalist" trio, the presence of a Jew indicates that the Mossad is involved, in addition to the CIA.

They probably were spies, but maybe they weren’t US spies. Mossad, maybe? Honestly, do they really think that we are so dumb that we would believe that those three characters were innocent hikers? Maybe these Israeli spies were going to Kurdistan to sell dead sea soap products as they did in those kiosks they had set up in US shopping malls last year. Or maybe they were “art students”? In any case, I hope Iran locks them and throws away the key.

Of course they are not spies! They are three poor stooges who naively thought peaceful Iraq and especially Kurdish area is the safest place on the planet for hiking!! They should have chosen Afghanistan – it’s much safer place!
