Any strike package that failed to secure radical regime change would, among other things, cause Iran to drop out of Nabucco, which would seriously jeopardize US oil strategy out to contain China and Russia ad well as to reduce European dependence on Russian oil.

Google up M.K. Bhadrakumar at, say, www.atimes.com for more insight.

There's an old story about a fellow who takes a commercial flight for the first time in his life. After a few minutes, the captain announces he's lost an engine, stresses the aircraft's safety and adds the only real problem is the inconvenience of arrival 20 minutes late. Half an hour later, the captain announces loss of a second engine and arrival 60 minutes late. Yet another hour later, he announces loss of a third engine and arrival 2 hours late. Suddenly, our passenger says to his neighbor "Gosh, I hope he doesn't lose the last engine -- otherwise we'll be stuck up here all day."

The continuity of the current Administration over its predecessor is unfortunate but unsurprizing.

While Israel has this persistent fantasy of attacking Iran and destroying their nuclear industry, this latest story seems much more like a propaganda ploy than an actual prognosis of future events. America cannot allow -- nor permit herself to be coerced into allowing -- an Israeli attack on Iran. The blowback would overwhelm US forces throughout the region and topple the government of Pakistan as well as ignite civil war in Afghanistan and precipitate nuclear terror inside mainland America. This story is just an Israeli ploy to threaten Iran -- in syncopated unison with Hillary Clinton's bellicose verbosity before the CFR. Israel's game is to demonize Iran so as to camouflage her own massive human rights atrocities in Gaza, the OT as well as to repair the torn and tattered veil of secrecy over her own rogue nuclear program. Frankly, it is utterly outrageous that a nuclear rogue state has manipulated the entire western world -- not to mention the sole remaining superpower -- into ignoring its flagrant violations of international law. It is now clear that Obama and Biden both see through this subterfuge, but Hillary Clinton and her errant husband, Bill, do not -- they are willing pawns who are satisfied to collect massive sums for their presidential library in Arkansas -- which are nothing more than bribes from the Israel Lobby. When Afghanistan goes pear-shaped, I suspect that Hillary Clinton''s head will be the most likely candidate for the chopping block.

Will it take a few supersonic sunburn missles to send an aircraft carrier and a few cruisers to the briny deep before Americans wake up? William Lind rightly said that we just may see America lose an entire army in Iraq with these sorts of stupid antics. And rightly so. Now that would either sober this nation or push the neanderthals over the edge for blood but one thing is certain... with the straights cut off the Iranians would bring the global markets to their knees so someone had better give Obama a good slap in the face to wake up before he goes any further with these fevered fantasies orchestrated out of Tel Aviv.

What kind of an insane society are we in. Lets nuke Iran and everyone else and then we can just get on a ship and travel to a new planet...yeah thats the ticket. This is insanity to even consider attacking nuke installations anywhere. Humanity is its own worst enemy.
