The first report of this story was published in the Sunday Times of London -- and it quoted John Bolton extensively. Bolton had been in Saudi Arabia, and he said that he spoke with more than one government official who confirmed that they would permit the Israelis to use their air space -- and complain about it afterward in order to cover up their connivance with the Israelis. Bolton is supposed to be a Senior Fellow at the American Enterprise Institute -- the neocon think tank in Washington, but he is obviously intent on inciting war between Israel and Iran. Unless he holds some quasi-secret capacity for the US government, I wonder whether his providing what amount to lobbying services for the government of Israel are legal under US law.
